Has this bug been fixed yet? Is there any fix coming?

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.

I was unaware there was a bug. I've played at several partys onboard yachts and have had no problems. Are you reffering to healing? I haven't tried that yet.

The droids work fine... Trouble is you can't group with them so they can't accompany you.

That's what I meant by "playing with droids"

I've had no problem with playing grouped or solo(except for the droid dilemma), healing bf & mind wounds or buffing on my yacht.

Yeah, sorry, I meant playing with a droid. I have a killer duetgig worked out, but until they allow droids to play on my yacht (and until docking is fixed) it's not much use me going on a space tour.

Well, before droids we used to find other band members and get them to play with us.

Yes, it's annoying that you can't group with your droid in space, I agree. But I don't personally see it as a huge hindrance. The only thing it really stops me from doing is those times I go into space just to keep from being disturbed while I work on a song. Hardly a big loss.

"Well, before droids we used to find other band members and get them to play with us."

I know you're just being jokey here, but it illustrates a commonprejudice among many players. As I've said many times before in other threadsI'm not reallyin this game for social interaction. Personally, I'd prefer if SWG was an offline game where I interacted with AI all day. I don't like social interaction online, and I don't see why it should be automaticallyexpected of me, or anyone else. Non-social types should have a place in the game too. That's part of the reason the entertainer droids exist - so that pacifisticintroverts like me get a chance to play the entertainer class.

Well, I'm sure you and I are different in many ways, but my point is not related to your preferred playstyle. For me, and many like me, this IS a huge hindrance, and people like me are walking away from this game in drovesbecause of matters like this that other players don't think are abig deal. Since the game hinges on customer satisfaction I don't thinkit should be a matter for casual indifference. The day may come when the game is dumped by SOE becausetoo many people like mequit because of these small matters that are no concern to folks like you. Then maybeplayers will realise (too late)thatthis gamewas meant to be an interconnectedcommunity, and not just a bunch ofindividuals who thought everything was fine as long as they were happy.

I'm happy that you're happy with this aspect of the game, but a little solidarity wouldn't go amiss. That way, when the developers screw up some aspect of the game that YOU think is a huge hindrance, I'll be there for you. That's what a community does - it supports each individual need so that the entire community will prosper. If it doesn't do that, it will die.

Beery although soloing this game is possible and far too easy for an MMO it isn't intended to be like an offline game. Add to that the fact that the profession you have chosen REQUIRES that you interact on some level, i.e. you need mind damaged people to heal, and you really don't have a valid argument. I understand that there are people who don't want to interact and thats fine. However expecting the game designers to create a skill tree for social players and making a skill tree that you can play without social interaction is mutually exclusive by it's very nature.

Hopefully it is a bug and will be fixed but your reasons for wanting it simply don't work. You have chosen mutually exclusive goals in playing a social profession all by yourself guaranteeing you will never be satisfied with anything they do to this profession.

Beery, I would expect some level of social engagement in A) an MMO, and B) a profession labelled as "social" by the developers....

There is certainly an artistic outlet available in creating a song or dance, but that's nothing that can't be done next to the Keren waterfall, at an oasis on Tatooine, or in an abandoned outpost on Yavin4 if a droid is needed. (I've done this several times with my Dancer when I wanted to get away, and once with a piece I attempted to write for Ballad.) I suppose there could be a call for a single entertainer and his/her droid at a yacht party, but I'd think that to be a bit too suspicious to attend on my female character

At any rate, it'sa bug that will probably be addressed at some point if it's brought to the devs attention. /bug it and post in one of TH's threads. It just doesn't appear to be a large enoughissue for debate though (Or for a 'call to arms')

"Also, I would suggest toning it down a bit. You come off as rather "moody" in posts such as this "

Hehe. Oh dear! Whatever shall we do?

If I come off as moody, so what? I am moody. I'm glad my mood comes through - that's my personality. Doesmy mood make what I have to say less noteworthy? It shouldn't.

In my view the writings of other members oftenseem annoyingly optimistic, but it doesn't make me think of their arguments any differently. It's the words that matter, not the mood of the writer.

If I remember correctly from JTL Beta there was a technical reason why droids and pets could not be grouped while on the MP ships. It's not so much a bug as it is a technical hurdle. I can't recall the exact reason...

I also believe there was some debate as to whether or not pets and droids were even going to be allowed to be called while in space, so it could be worse.
