Thread: Has this ever happend to you??
I Entertain solely for the joy of Entertaining and the community we have. I've done at least something with every other profession, mastered the majority, but I haven't ever found another set of people as wonderful as those in the Entertainment professions. I'mnot too stingy with my buffs--I'll buff pretty much anyone as long as they're not coming up to me and spamming "invite buff plz." Those who try to tear you down for being a true Entertainer aren't worth the time it takes to reply. Remember that self esteem and worth should come from within, you don't need anyone else out there to validate you and make you feel good about yourself.
If it's any comfort though, these same folks who berate you now will be crawling to you on their knees begging for buffs when AFK macroing is finally removed.
And for the person who wanted to know more about how tobuff: Sticky on Music Buffs

I occasionally get /tells asking for buffs when I'm in Coronet (and I have my MM title up). Usually I oblige. Sometimes I'm only passing through, and I decline. I've never had anyone abuse me for that.
Anyone who asks me face to face for a buff - well, I'm probably already playing, so I don't recall ever saying no.
The last group in that list makes up for all the others and we haven't done a tour yet that we didn't get 2 to 10 people in that category. So ignore the ones who are so accustomed to buff-bots that they forget we are people playing a game just like them and think we OWE them something. It is your game, you pay for the service and don't owe another player a single thing. If those players don't like it tough put them on ignore and move on.

Don't feel too bad, it is unfortunately the state of perception about entertainers. The group I enterain with likes to do impromptu tours. We will all go to a starport somewhere and jam for the general enjoyment of the other players. When there we get 4 types of players, the ones wanting a buff (you can't in a starport), the ones wanting to know why we aren't in a cantina, the ones who totally ignore us, and the ones who enjoy the show and stay to watch awhile (sometimes through several shuttles).

It is nice having those who watch to enjoy the show, but it is very rare, always seems everybody is in a hurry to get somewhere. lol

Me too, i play my music for the joy and the entertainment of others. I generaly avoid the cantina and play in starports or other locations as long as it can be classed as "outside". Don't get me wrong I do buff people if asked and i'm nearby but I never have a master title up (either Virtuoso or Personal Trainer) as i think they look better above my head! It's fun to play music, it fun to do it in a group and it more fun to do it in a group where people don't expect it
