Yes, personal homes may be used.

Any player building can be used to buff and reduce BF whether it is private or public. The only exception to that rule is the stage and seating area of a player theater. However, you can buff and reduce BF back stage . . . yeah, I know . . . /boggle

It's not so boggling looking at the under-the-hood parts of player theater ent healing. Many of us know this, but I'll go over it here for those newer to the community who may not have heard.

It's what I've called the question of "inside vs. outside". We know that entertainer healing and buffing doesn't work just anywhere... especially "outside". Player theaters' stage and seating areas, in the way that the structures were created, treat those areas as "outside", and so do not permit entertainer healing/buffing, but naturally the backstage room is "inside" a legal structure, so it works fine. You'll find the same thing on PA hall rooftops... the game sees that area as being "outside" of the structure, therefore the rules for outdoors applies in that area.

Now... one idea to get player theaters set up so ent healing can work in the intuitive areas has been to build what equates to invisible walls around the structure that effectively turn the seating/stage areas into being read as "inside" by the game. My guess is that this one has either been problematic in coding thusfar, or just a lesser priority for fix-type things than some of the other entertainer issues that have been polled. Still... with so many of our other entertainer related "quick-fix" type things already being handled, perhaps the community will bring this fix up as a priority once again soon.

Maybe the devs can plop a permanent invisible camp on top of the theater .
Not that I'd like them doing that rather than a 'real' solution.
Not that I'd like them doing *that* rather than redesigning theaters to be grand indoor dealies more like the static city ones.

You'd think it would be something they could do, especially because of the Theater and BF healing at Vreni Isle, Corellia. Maybe like..some kind of healing radius?

My guess.... and this is just a guess, but one that makes sense to me.... is that the theater on Vreni island is flagged to be like a camp. The difference is that it is static, and entirely an "outside" location. There may be meaningful differences (and again, guesswork, since I'm not the coder) betweena structure that has both "outside" and "inside" areas, like PA halls and player theaters, and those that have only "inside" or "outside" designations, like other player structures and camps respectively.

Though I'm with Scip... I've always wanted player theaters either changed or added to be like scaled-down versions of the static city guildhall theaters. I'm not a big fan personally of the outdoor, festival seating stage.Give me a classy venue like the static city theaters, and I'm a happy performer! (Even happier if I can get player-controllable stage lighting... mmm, dreams....)

And *seats* in the seating area!
Sorry, just a pet peeve .

The first player cantinas before cities were "official" were houses. Yes, they work just fine.
