lol, been wanting to do musician for a while now and i finally got to novice after about 10hrs maybe less depends on breaks etc..
started out in Coronet cantina on EU: Chimaera in my santa suit 
got in a group after a few /shout looking for an entertainer group
got in a group after a few /shout looking for an entertainer groupi was amazed at how many people were actually at the keyboard, thats right at the keyboard i thought i was going to have to make a macro with autojoin like some people do.
They all helped train me and one person mailed me the waypoint of the musician and dancer trainer so i dont have to worry about being trained if no ones around n_n
The entertainment healing exp went fast as it normally does get one combat medic friend to area disease the group and your all set
I was using a macro to fo flourishes every 5 seconds, even made up some good songs using different flourishes, it truly was a change from spamming UA3 on some mokks.
but boy the exp is slow not too slow but it's bearable, i'm currently
0-0-0-2 in musician working towards
0-0-1-3 so i can play another song with my instruments,
i bought all of the intruments for 20k which i think is a good deal considering i would need to go up to 4-0-0-0 to be able to craft them myself. overall a good time

:Question:
If i am leader and i do /startband and pick a song does everyone automatically play that song, i know they need the require skill etc..

Anyone can /startband as long as they have an instrument and can play. /startb only works though if no one is playing already. If no one is playing and you can do /startb then yes everyone that can play that song will play that song.
Small note though with /startb /changeb and /stopb there are bugs with it. namely sometimes people will start to "play" the song but will only do the base song with out flourishes. To fix it who ever gets bugged needs to stop playing most of the time they have to move as well and then start playing again. Sort of annoying. So be careful when using such things and always check with everyone that you can before doing anything.

Minor correction....
/startb can be done at anytime. If a song is already being played in a group, /startb will cause all players not playing to join in if they can. /startb will only not work if YOU are already playing. You need to stop playing to do the /startb to get everyone else in.
Also, your note is not small, but very IMPORTANT regarding the bugs. Be careful about using these commands. ESPECIALLY /change.

The quickest way to up your XP is to turn of the XP monitor bar.....
You will be concentrating so much on haveing fun in the cantina rather than watching it tick by that you'll be up before you know it
