Thread: Flourishes to Buff Wait Time Formula?

I have read the FAQs etc, and have failed to find a way to tell how frequently I have to flourish to buff someone in 3-4 minutes. Any information is useful! Please do not resort to flaming until an intelligent answer has been given

You need 120 flourishes to make a full buff, and you can only do 5 flourishes per "tick," which I believe is every 8 seconds. Anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on those numbers. So, you could basically flourish every 2 seconds, or you could flourish 5 times at once every 8 seconds. And, do this for approximately 3.5 minutes.

I believe the XP tick count as a flourish as well. And that the ticks are once every 10 secounts.
5 flourishes/xp tic is one flo every 2 sec, resulting in a 3 min 20 sec buff.
However lately I have successfully flourished 7 times per tick when some of them was band floes, I have to get a couplet of friends to buff to se if it still count if so it should be do able in 2 min 30 sec (and perhaps even better).

yes, 5 flourishes every 8 seconds, takes 3 min, 10 seconds.
