Thread: I just want to play music in Jabba's Palace. Please help.

I am an entertainer with a problem. I created my character with one ideal in mind - she is a pacifist from Alderaan. She will not kill any creature or person for profit. Now I would really like her to be able to play for Jabba. When playing with another character on a different server, I noticed that sometimes, the Jabba quests were successful for me even though I never came close to the target of the quest. I assume this was because two players (me and another) got the same quest at about the same time, and that we both got a successful result when the other guy got there first.
So this is my question: what do I have to do to get this to happen? Do I need to take the quest first? Or last? Will it work for all the quests, or only a few?
I'd really like to get this done, and it's not like I'm unwilling to work for it (after all my other character already hasJabba's Badge of Trust, so I've done the work once - it wasn't particularly hard). It's just that I don't see whythis pacifist charactershould killher fellow beings in order to gain access to Jabba's throne room. It seems to me that entertainers should be able to gain access based purely on their talent for entertaining.
Maybe I'm going to have to give up this dream.

I have an alt on Starsider who's a Master TK. His name's Vowe. He can run the missions with you and do the dirty work 
I fully support your RP of being a pacifist, and there's no reason a peaceful entertainer shouldn't be able to gain entry to Jabba's throne room. Just give me a shout sometime and I'll work with you to get the missions done for ya.

I really appreciate it. I don't need all the missions - just enough to get me in the throne room. I'm not after the badge of trustor anything. It would just be nice to get in there to dance or play for that maniacslug.

It is great to play there. Jabbas band is awesome. However I would love for the Dev's to implement the ability to heal and buff inside the palace. It would add great roleplay potential for Masters and other Entertainers to heal Jabba's newest higher, coming in from his missions. Plus it would be a BuffBot free place, cause who would take the time to run all those missions for a Bot?

Which is exactly the problem I'm wrestling with right now. I'm not sure, but Ithink I'll have to try to do it without any help. I might change my mind, but that's my current take on it.

Well, you could roleplay someone who's been coerced into helping do the missions. Or drugged. 
Jabba's Palace is pretty neat; worth doing if you haven't tried it. But it does require some combat firepower. My Musician (who doubles as a Carbineer) couldn't solo it.

Yeah. I did it with my Pistoleer on Tempest. It is a nice quest - just the right length. Not much payoff at the end (unless a badge is payment enough), but fun nonetheless.

I'm glad you found someone to help you. I certainly would have offered had I a character on your server.
But I have a question. How are you going to roleplay a pacifist in effect hiring somone to wage violence?

Well, I'mnearly half-way there. I just finished mission 10, so I'm getting through them quite quickly considering I'm not killing anyone and I haven't needed anyhelp yet. The Jawa mission (about number 6)was hard because no one likes killing Jawas, so that one took about a week before the Jawa met his fate at the hand of person or persons unknown.
Things are looking good. I might actually get into the throne room by the end of the week, and if all goes wellI'll have done it without killing a soul. Now I reckon that's an accomplishment that no other player will be able to match.

Luckily the bulding isn't alive! 
And he doesn't have to blow it up... maybe he was trying to enter it and pushed the big red button by mistake!
Just have to wait for someone to kill off those pesky NPCs surrounding it.
