Face it. We've been treated as second class citizens pretty much since launch, and im sick of it. Forget the combat balance (yes i said it, forget it. flame away). Now, before you start flaming: I do realize just how broke the combat system is(after all i play a rifleman, as well as a musican, and i have since launch), but, its gotten MUCH more attention then the entertainer community has EVER gotten. For example:
The Image Designer "Revamp": The IDs got very little of what they asked for, made XP even more annoying, made it requried to be in one of three tents on one naboo, corellia or tatooine to do anything
Entertainer Droid Modules: sure, the effects are pretty nice, but, the playback modules need serious work. one droid can hold up to six songs at one time (assuming adv r3), now... with 9 (10 if master entertainer or musican quest, 11 with both) songs, and 5 droids available with 4 (5 if master entertainer) different sounding instruments, thats 30 possible slots, and, to be able to play any song without master entertainer, you would need 36 (40 with western), as a master entertainer and a master musican, you need 45 slots (50 with western). clearly, this does not cover all of the songs.
The Musican/Dancer Quests: Hardly "Exciting" as promised by TH, instead rather repetitive and buggy(hell, from what i hear, the new dance doesnt work). Also, whoever is up top clearly didnt not listen to, let alone respond to the mass outcry against the 400k xp cost.
The Village: WE GET NOTHING. nuff said.
The Buffbot/macrotainer: Buffbotting and Afk Play NEEDS to be stopped. Honestly, this keeps the real musican/entertainer from getting much buisness at all, if any and needs to be dealt with.
Songs: FFS we have 11 songs we can learn: I realize that it is hard to come up with the sound files and instrument animations. but come on: a year and a half later and we have one more song... you have got to be freaking kidding me.
Instruments: They all Sound the same, all instruments currently in game can be broken down into 5 categories: horn1(slitherhorn, fanfar, traz) horn2(fizzz, kloo horn, chindikalu horn) rythmic(bandfill, omni box) and then, the only two Unique sounding instruments in the game, the nalargon and the mandoviol.
Nalargon/Ommni Targeting Issue: Why does this still happen? Ever since launch, you must keep these two instruments targeted at all times, and especially now with the 15 second restart delay this is even more annoying.
15 Second delay between stopping and starting music: i understand why this was put in, however. 15 seconds is overkill, and with the Nalargon/Ommni targetting bug, i havent used either since.
now that jtl is practially done (sure, it will need patching/fixes but dammit. we need to be fixed), honestly, i think its about time the Developers paid some attention to us, and i dont mean another half assed attempt at a quest, i mean a large amount of bugfixes and general dev love.
Here are my proposed fixes(in order of apperiance):
1)Make Each Droid Playback Module record a specific instrument, not a song and and instrument for that song.
2)Fix the Quest. PLEASE.
3)Give us a reason to go to Aurillia.
4)Give Buffbots a major smackdown. they shouldnt exist. period.
5)MORE SONGS!
6)MORE INSTRUMENTS!
7)Fix the Ommni and the Nalargon so that we can use them without severe annoyance
8)Decrease the Stop/Start delay... 15 seconds is harsh and unnecessary, 5 seconds would be much more tolerable

Just a theory I have about SOE's indifference to any professions other than those that aren't supposed to be here:
EQ2 is supposed to be coming out soon. Which would SOE rather have people play? A game that is entirely owned by them, or one where they have to share the profits and pay huge lisencing fees for? Can you say conflict of intrests?
Think about this... SOE has made the game more and more un-Star Wars for the past year. First adding Jedi when there should be none (or a VERY rare few IN HIDING), and making it all about killing each other. True, there was a lot of killing in SW, but that's part of war. However, the movies aren't about war, they're about campy space fantasy drama.
Add to the mix shoddy customer service, break a few professions, let other professions know that they can be replaced by NPCs at any time, promise things by a certain date and not deliver with no explanation, let most of the professions know that they're less important than one that shouldn't exist, post game changeing announcements and never follow through or even bother to reply any more, and top it off with more shoddy customer service (update your video card, anyone?). Mix it all up, and you have folks looking to play another game. Well, guess what?!? EQ2 is coming out November 15th!
Call me paranoid. Tell me I'm reading too much into it. Then look at the facts.

There is not one new animation for the new song. So new songs are really a snap to prepair if they want to.
