never mind... the old message isn't worth being banned since you will continue to slight the entertainer community as a company

But then, nobody really believed her when she said in her welcome message the Devs would be lurking around here. We had our red name post for this year already, look for the next one sometime next summer - when we're really lucky, it's when they'll get around to explaining to us why the entertainer content has had to be removed from the upcoming Hutt Casino (scheduled for release for Publish 23 in fall of '05
)

This used to be one of the best forums around. Hardly ever had a flamey post, but to be sure there were a lot of passionate discussions. People are still passionate about this profession because it is still an alternative to the combat playstyle.
A lot of people, myself included, started the SWG experience as entertainers and some of the folks here are a bit jaded and bitter. And they have every right to be so. This is one of the least touched professions in the entire game, and of course, thanks to the still in full force, AFKing of our profession, it just makes it very unfun.No one has to come to us anymore when you can see an AFKer and not have to interact and not even tip, if they are so inclined.
There are a lot of good people still in this forum, and we have new people come in and out, but the bottom line is we have been a functioning class and as such have taken the back burner for a loooong time. All people are asking for is a few minutes of a devs time every now and again, even if its just reassurance that they are listening. We were told that we had a lot of new songs in the pipes way back when, but now we get "A" new song which we have to quest for and on top of that, we have to pay 400k xp to get it.
I don't know how long you have played, or have been an entertainer. But with statements like the one above, you are not endearing yourself to anyone here. The people "complaining" here are the ones that get us noticed. If not for the outcries, we would be waiting until the year 2006 to see any changes to our classes. You know that old saying, if it ain'y broke, don't fix it? Well as far as most of the developers are concerned we are not broke and therefore they spend thier time on other pursuits, namely the quest for more bucks. (JTL anyone?)
Its really a sad state of affairs when one of the most social classes in the game, which was to me, one of the most fun to play,has turned into a stepping stone for jedi-hood as you can earn XP AFK. Not everyone is doing it, but a lot of people are, as evidenced by the return of the full blown AFK cantinas.
I hope that you can understand where a lot of people in this forum are coming from because they sure as heck didn't start out so negative. Myself fully included.

The only way to encourage positive feedback is to give it.
