Stuff like this has been seen before. Generally its a case of listening to someone grouped and not realising it or having a "banked" buff. A Banked buff is when you listen in the normal buff process and do not /stoplisten when you walk away. It can be activated, even hours later, by typing /stoplisten or by playing and stopping or by listenign to someone else, even if they are not buffing you, and walking out of range.
If it can be reproduced that would be news.
