Thread: Minor issue with Western

I noticed this the 2nd or 3rd time i played it: Its a really quiet song. The drums and guitar are at a moderate level, but the piano, woodwind, and techno (chid horn) are really very quiet. I had to boost my player music volume way up to actually hear it. Compared to virtuoso/ceremonial (the 2 in most recent memory), it really is quiet. Any way we can get a volume boost?

No knowledge about if your request is possible, but I second it. It was a sort of silent complaint to my friends. The fill drowns out the chid and the traz struggles just loud enough against the fill. I would like a sound increase too.

Maybe its me but I find position impacts this a lot. When I swing my view out in front of the group it sounds fine but if I'm in first person or just behind my toon every song sounds unbalanced.

I agree.

Yeah, I definitely thought the Chid was getting drowned out by my Mandoviol.

Sometimes the Bandfill's flourishes sort of go away, too. They get rather hard to hear.

I'm going to start working on instrument combos, and what levels could be adjusted. No idea how they'd do that, but what the heck - I wanna hear more of certain instruments at different times.

The main problem is that each base music string is actually 2 combined parts (like 2 flourishes)... its 2x as long as the other songs. For the trazz, i was rather disappointed that they strung the base song up for the first half of every flourish and had the flourishy part of it as the 2nd half, making it seem rather bland. Nala sounds good on it though, but i have yet to do more than 2 instruments (lack of players on bria with western)

That's what R3s are for.

I'm launching the game now, i'll see how much position affects it. I think the slitherhorn is supposed to be the techno effect, but yea, the fill is way too loud.

Just got Western. I love the new tune, but I have to agree, it's too soft on just about all the instruments. The droid does seem to play it louder, at least playing the ommni.

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. You've basically killed the game for anyone who doesn't want the glowstick. Congratulations.
