However, if master musicians get a stringed instrument, why would they need to master entertainer anymore? Just for Cermonial?
And speaking of songs...Tiaga do you know if master entertainer will have access to the new song and/or dance? Or will it require at least novice musician/dancer (or maybe even higher)?
And as much as I love the new song, any word on the new dance? Like even a name? LOL!

Well after spending some time figuring things out instead of brute-forcing the sound files like I did before (I'm silly and make all my own utilities) I've been playing with it and think this one has a lot of potential. Listening to each part, I can envision different music where different instruments take the lead. Each instrument has both lead and support flourishes. Straight bandflourishes wouldn't bring that out, but I've never been one for straight bandflourishes.
My guess on the Xantha.... I'd put money on it ending up in Master Musician and sounding like the mandoviol for all the existing music. Does that make the mandoviol not worth getting? I'd say no. The mandoviol track in the new music is better than the xantha track to my ear. Esp. flourish 6. The other possibility would be xantha at music knowledge I, and the new song at novice musician; filling in the gaps, basically.

personally I hope the xantha gets a unique sound in all the songs...but I may be hoping too much.

where can i find these files btw? i just ran testcenter and updated, just dont know where to look. Are they in a TRE file? and if so what do I use to view them?

yes they are in them and there are many programs that can view them just use google to find them

I am not sure, going to have to go rewatch them all again. I know I have heard these sounds from a movie somwhere and think that may be the scene.

Ok, does anyone have a site where they have all of the flourishes for all of the songs extracted? I'd love to play around with the sound files in ACID or Fruity Loops or something like that. I'd love to "remix" some of the songs from Galaxies.

While extracting the sound files isn't a problem (Near as I can tell.. I scoured the EULA about it, because I thought I remembered something in there, but it only mentioned modifying the game files, which extracting the sounds is not doing) distributing them raw most certainly is a copyright infringement.
Remixing I wouldn't be able to say as IANAL. However, that short bit of Waltz played in my video was not a sound capture from the game. You may notice, for example, the distinct LACK of that short pause between flourishes. That's hardly the larger infringement there though, as the main music for the video was shamelessly lifted from another game. (Downloaded as an mp3 from the company's website.

It at all possible to get an answer from the devs if the xantha will sound unique in all the songs? I am really hoping for this...
