If you need to have this pointed out to you by a total stranger, then you deserve to get ditched by your wife/friends/family/girlfriend etc.

I'm a loner type who goes to school, goes to work, and then I do whatever I want, basically. I'm not ready to settle down and start a family, so there's no need for a girlfriend. I've had a few girlfriends that I was serious about at the time, but looking back, the relationships were a joke. I'd pick SWG over them anyday.
All my friends live in different cities, and do their own thing too. My SWG playtime would be totally different with a family. I probably wouldn't even play. In my personal opinion, people get married way to young, don't know themselves very well yet, and don't do the things they always wanted to do beforehand. They end up trying to do them later in life, and it puts pressure on the marriage.
As long as you don't become obsessive(put SWG before work/school), do what you want to do.
