Jus' like the good ole days when we got 100 creds for an entertainer gig off planet... oh shoot.. we still do. Now in the new order, nothing has changed but afk-macro'ers rule the roost for buffing - and the non-afk solution to being part of somethingjust got twatted out of the arena.

Same old story. I'm also a Pistoleer. I can do an area-attack in a cone, I can target the health pool, or I can target random pools. I have like three specials. I used to have a good couple of bleeds I could stack. But exploiters misused bleeds, so now they do very little damage, don't stack, and leech experience. People exploit something, and it gets removed/nerfed to nothing.
Just be glad they didn't remove entertainer buffs altogether.
I can't believe FrostBrimstone here though. Dude... isn't it obvious to youyet you are an exploiter? They deleted your thread, they've patched it out, what does it take to convince you? Suck it up, it's your fault we allhave to suffer this nerf.

CSRs in game and DEV outside of game have already stated that this is NOT AN EXPLOIT.

I have not found the post on here, but the CSRs in game have answered my customer service tickets that are done through the holocron. They have specifically said and ascertained that the use of this sort of macro ws not a violation of the SOE TOS.

Boy I'd love to see where they have stated this cause I don't believe they have made statements EITHER WAY. Even if they did, they still can change their mind, or even worse, eliminate the reason fro having to make a statement at all.
either way FrostBrimstone why do you think this new 2 minute thing was added if they did not see it as exploitave, and for the record NewJedi has repeatedly asked the DEVs if it is officially an exploit, and they have not answered him
as for the CSRs, they have to deal with each situation right there, right then... since the DEVs have said it neither is nor isn't, the only viable choice the CSRs have is to go with the least game-breaking option at that moment
either way... with the changes, it will not continue, so anyone that wants to be able to use the technique is sol

Well, I decided to add my two cents, even though I've not posted on this forum before.
I'm a Master Dancer/Musician on Chimaera, and I'm sad to see the quick buff go. Why? Because everywhere I go now - all I see are the stat migrated buff bots that have an autojoin macro and buff from 8am - 4am gmt each day - day in - day out.
For those of us who learned how to playthe hard way - built up people who used us a buffers even though we were fast - and perhaps even exploiting - I use the word perhaps as it's never been confirmed, have just lost yet another reason to be one.
We could get called on by hunting groups to buff them in a pinch - making us *worth* something. Now? Shoot... I doubt the average 14 year old has a two minute attention span - except for perhaps in the case of doc buffing where that's now the norm, plus the buffs are readily available.
Two minutes for just focus/willpower, and then a further two minutes (minumum) for mind...? Give the 15 second wait... added to which there's no *sure* method of telling if our buffs have worked? So - 5 minutes effectively minimum to fully buff one player or a group. Perhaps it's *not* too long in the Dev's eyes... but I doubt they've chased work as a musician - the entertainer gigs are a joke.
So - instead of making us more readily available - to heighten our profile - we're now harder to access - slower at what we do - and cannot be effective - for the sake of what? A few Master's (and don't tell me there's a wholeslew of us on every server, you try finding a Master Dancer/Musician quicker than finding a Master Doc) - went around buffing quicker than the Dev's intended. Big deal? - damn right, it heightened the profile of Entertainer buffers. Makes us more reachable, and gives us a chance at a moderate earning potential.
So yeah, I'm sad to see my buffing skills go - and no, I didn't advertise 30 second buffs... I started to use them when the people I buffed regularly asked me to do it, and then sent me the macro for it. Go figure.
Yeah - I'm well aware that this will appear to be a childish rant to all those who've hounded for the quickbuff to be removed, well... congratulations - you've done a good job of butchering a cool class that can haveappeal to those who were more interested in making friends (read that as "mooching for tips") outside of your guild (read that as "clique").
