Hijo, what about being able to put together music from pre-recorded loops and samples, like you can in Acid Music? You could have a pallette of music clips you could string together in any order you want, save it as a Song Schematic, and share it with a band...

I think that would be doable, and it should avoid any legal issues. I know it's not exactly writing your own music, but it's pretty close...

so the way I see it we put it in the top 5 and note if this is not possible or legualys able insted replace it with _________________. (another top 5 issue)

If we dont ask then we may never know if they can and so then it will be an unlimited welth of songs

its a lot less work to allow us to play notes then it is to hire a songwriter thenput his songs one at a time into the game

its awfully strange how may people say they want new songs but dont want an endless number of songs

just rember holocrom thought at one time it was possible so why not ask for the one thing that will allow us to play an endless number of songs so many that we could play for a year and never play the same one twice

Like you said Hijo, there's no reason not to ask .....

so let's request it, and propose a few of these other ideas. But be willing to settle for flourishes 9,10,11,12 and 10 more songs when the next patch/expansion comes out.

I can't say this would be #1 for me but i would definitely see it as in the top 5. This would add much needed variety to a system that right now has very limited prospects longterm. My number 1 has to be fix the remaining bugs in the current system. Long term the Musician needs significantly more variety and something like this would definitely fill that gap.

I like Hamsterfetts idea of questing for old songs and instruments. Also the idea of allowing Novice players to join more advanced music with some kind of dumbed down instrument. Iv gotton most of my dance Exp. because i couldnt follow the band.

I can see, possibly a creating of music from small sampled sounds. like the MTV music Generator type of thing. I made some really outstanding and different music from that. But it just seems like it would be hard to implement from a standpoint of the various advancement levels, and group playing.

I like more instruments.

I like more variety and creativity.

I guess i'd say 1 if its even doable( which i think its not really)

Hey I use Acid too, and it seems that that is basically how music works now. It would be doable from a copyright perspective... but unless they were very careful about how they allowed the clips to be looped (i.e., only let people layer clips with similar chord structures) there would be some very very painful music out there. lol

This looks good on paper, but as a musician I would have no problems putting modern songs into the game. Ignoring copyright issues, this would suck the immersion right out. The minute I walk into a cantina and hear Stairway to Heaven I will cancel my account. Besides...as I've said before, most people would compose s*** anyway.

I'm going with option 3. Just barely in the top five. Fix the bugs first (game-wide, not just musicians), please.

emersion is out right now the players names are horible

and you can easly not listen to a person playing starway to heven

the fact is these songs were made and could be played in the future we still play bac or vagner dont we?

I always find it funny when someone throws dont the glove and says if they do this I will quit

well more people will get bored adn quit with only 10 songs to play then will quit if they play the instrumental to a song played nowadays

I could go on for hours how emersion is out the window people talking OOC people wearing long black trenchcoats on a plnet that daytime temp gets to 120 the sea of sensless stupid names

our own songs would make the musician class a lot of fun not ok for the 235th time starwars 2 !!!
