Thread: GIG Missions are WAY Better!

First off , make sure the gigs are in the town your in by looking at where it starts in the mission line up.(Should be just a few hundred meters away at most.) Try to avoid unnessacery costs.


And make sure you click the music or dance tab in the mission window.


Go inside and play 1 song till you get the payout, 10-20 minutes depending on your skill.


I have heard others say they have goten buged gigs that didn't pay , But I never had one not pay me.

a noobish question here, but i havent been able to get the musician missions to work for me. something's just not right.


i picked up two missions, but the closest ones were thousands of miles away, so i had to book a shuttle. that took half of my profits right off the bat. then i found the place and... now what? do i just start playing? i looked for the mission creator but i couldnt find anyone with that name? i tried playing inside, then i tried playing outside on the front steps (under the waypoint beam), and i've been switching tunes every 20 mins or so, but i'm not getting squat. what am i doing wrong?

Hmmmmmm.


Let me see. I can get 300 credits for 10 minutes work as a master entertainer almost master musician OR I can get 1800 credits for 10 minutes work as a pistol specialist with almost zero risk by running Imperial missions. I don't see a reason to continue doing entertainer gigs.

I will tell you why. Becouse I really want you to understand how things got better not worse.


It is faster than traveling to another town!


Most of the time I don't even have to hit refresh. Once or twice at most.

You're coment has NOTHING to do with the subject.


We are talking about Gigs. The Risk vs. Reward for Gigs is Spot ON!

Hmmm an Interesting experience... I am not trying to argue with you on what's better anymore Edidap... I might be wrong...


Althogh I vaguely remember the way before the patch (400-600 credits) missions they took just about 5 minutes, as I posted. After Edidap, a 'Master Musician' told me it take about 10 minutes. I went checked it out, and came out with EXACTLY 10 minutes to get the reward!



Was it or wasn't it just 5 minutes, the old way, or my memory was faulty?



But If anything, Edidap can you Please tell me what the Devs should do about Out of city missions?What they ought do about outof city ones?


Nerf them? Or, make there NO outofcity Gig missions at all?


Improve them? How?


Increase credits?


Decrease ticket price for Musicians-only?


Or Increase XP?


...


Something has to be done right?


As I said, I wasn't trying to bash Devs, but hopefully they can ask themselve these questions, and come up with a sensable reason.

I am really really glad that this was finally brought up. I was just waiting for the moment teehee.



Pre-patch it took me just over 4 minutes playing a Narg with Viruoso doing two flos per click for 45 exp to get the mission payout. Now it takes longer. I don't know how much longer since i gave up watching the clock after 4 minutes but i will go with the cheering section for these gigs and say 9-10 minutes


Twice as long to do a music gig now ......hmmm doesn't seem WAY better to me. Perhaps the math had better be checked again........(gets out slide rule). Nope still looks bad. Don't care if you can do two at a time. You cannot and will not make more money now than you did pre-patch. Unless somehow you can make a 9 minute giginto 4 minute gig........nope i just tried. Darn space time continuum.

To clarify, I made a macro for Gig missions pre-patch. One time through the macro with maybe one or two more flos and BINGO i was done.



Last time i tried a gig mission i ran that same macro over two times. Once three times nearly before the mission paid out. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I don't think anything should be done with out of town missins, Maybe get rid of them.


Travel was never a factor in my equation.


If I want to travel, I travel. If I want to make credits, I do some gigs.


Two separete issues to me.


And I never had a Gig, Noble or other, payout in less than 9 minutes.

Thank you Regman, I knew something was up with the NEW missions, I was pretty sure 5 minutes before, evenremember I read other member saythey got it done in 5 as well. But overall I ain't gonna argue with you no more Epidap I honestly don't care for myself, I said this MANY times. I have Rebel missions and Artisans to make money.


So, if the Devs ignores, don't fix or nerf that Noble in the theater, I am not going to bebotheredmuch,but I hope they FIX it W/O affect YOUR playstyle so Entertainers that only do these gigs are happy with what they getting

That's just it. They're not spot on at all. Delivery missions pay much better, and they have the same risk as a gig mission but takeMUCH less time. And believe me there is NO risk in destroy missions either. Anyone with a decent weapon can easily solo destroy missions and make much better cash.


Gig missions may be alright for newbie entertainers, but they suck for folks who have invested the time to get to master musician or dancer.
