Yay, a new troll who thinks that because they have an alt played on alternating blue moons who has some Entertainer skills, that they can belittle those who are dedicated, pure Entertainers who would like to participate in the gamut of experiences this game is supposed to offer, without having to create an alt. (I did it for all of about two or three weeks before I was bored out of my mind. But I did it, and I am amazed that there are people out there with the singlemindedness of purpose to pursue it.)
And this isn't new bitterness for me, so that line won't work on my part. I've been bitter for longer than your account has been registered. When you've played a performer for over a year and are still perky...well, I'll think you're crazy, but I'll at least be able to admire your dedication.
Until you've been dancing in our shoes for a while longer...pipe down, sonny. As was said, the other first-rank Novice professions are given things to do. Again, it's Politicians and Entertainers who're left standing around wondering what hole their "unique new playstyle" fell into.
You can master all there is to do in Politician and still be an Elite Master of something else. Whereas with the Entertainer professions...you can't even master the base and all of the Elite professions that come off it. There are people out there who are completely dedicated to Entertaining.
Ummmm....Echinacea.......
I've know SinnAsyr as long as I've known you....if not longer, and he's been Master Musician the entire time. I really hope that your reply to him was either misunderstood by me or that your frustration with trolls blinded you as to who was posting. As to if he CURRENTLY only plays it a few hours a week, well that is a different question, but I could understand if he wanted to try something different from entertaining. Its not like the devs have given us many new things to be happy about.

Guys, the fourms have pretty much turned into a (riteous) bitchfest. SOE avoids our fourms at all cost (last time we had a red name post here was...?). Write letters. Lots of them.
Last time was PEX and was about a video, something outside the game. We amy as well face it, they just don't give a damn about entertainers.

By now I am almost cynical enough to imagine the dev conversing a bit like this.
Dev1: So what kind of FS quests do we wand to make for entertain...wait, what was I just talking about?
Dev2:I don't know, I wasn't listening. Anyways, back to the combat quests...
Dev1: Entertainers?
Dev2: Huh?
Dev1: Something about Entertainers?
Dev2: They're accounted for, we just gave them more Mind Wound Healing bonuses because it's such a valuable bonusfor them, and that's all we could come up with anyhow. Who cares about rewards or a cantinafor Entertainers in the Village, it's not like they'll ever actually get a Jedi anyways. Non-combat players wanting combat alts? I mean, I've heard of combat players with non-combat alts, but the other way around? We'll just keep the Entertainers locked up for another year, maybe throw them a bone in 2006.
Dev1 and Dev2: (riotous laughter)
Dev2: (wipes tears from eyes) Anyways, back to the Combat quests, we've wasted enough time with bull***t...
Dev2: Do we even wand to make them anything, I mean would to be wise.Dev1: What do you mean?Dev2: Well the combaters are already complaining of a lack of entertainers, if they could become Jedi's we would start loosing entertainers. And that would lead to more combatants complaining.
Dev1: Hmmm, that is a concern. We better skip entertainer quests.
Dev1 turns to dev3.
Dev1: hay you better remove that cantina from the village, we are dropping entertainer quest so the wound become Jedi's.
Dev3: Ok, I had not made it yet anyway. And it makes sense to not have a cantina if there are not going to be entertainers in the village.
I would at the lest have assumed that they could make some missions the ones from our terminals if they had wanted us to be part of the FS quests.

Is a dev reading this topic? Because the new update notes said that the FC medic puzzle was moved from novice medic to Master... I guess they just wand to make sure.
OMG...tell me this isn't true. I'm about to cause another ruckus. Jeezum Crowe, I was *willing* to drop a few of my skills for a small period of time to get Novice Medic, but if I have to do Master Medic
*grumble*
*starts spinning around and spraying spit like the Tazmanian Devil*

To clarify a few things:
Yes, one of the medic quests requires you to be a Master Medic. The quest calls for you to create medicines and I think some of the components you need are in Master Medic. I don' tknow if you can't just buy the components from a Master Medic and use them yourself.
The branch that is unlocked from this quest is Force Persuation
The other quest only requires you to heal people, so you'd only need Novice Medic. However, if they ever put in a way to heal people, i.e. make a cantina in the village, then we can complete this quest on our own.
The branch unlocked by that quest is Force Healing.
Ok...good, I think. Um...The Force Healing branch is the branch that gives us the Entertainer FS abilities? Force Persuasion has nothing for entertainers?

So basically, to be able to get the entertainer mods in the Force Sensitive trees, entertainers have to find spare SP and grind Master Medic?
Sounds alot like hologrinding all over again... ![]()

Correct as far as I know. Last I heard Persuation was a smuggler-only skill. I've never gotten it, so I'm basing this on hear-say (i.e. don't come after me with torches and pitchforksif I'm wrong).
Healing gives +5 to wound healing at each box.
