Uh oh, a gang war is gonna start!
On one side, users of the bandfill. On the other, users of the Ommni.

An alt I have uses the droid for bandfill/omni, and uses the mandovoil for personal flourishing. the mando is much better when personally controlled I feel, its sound comes right out in front of what you're playing, even with horns in band. You have to use it by hand...

As I'm out of shortcut slots, both my droids are bandfillers. That's the only instrument (ok, maybe the Ommni could work, too) that can play unattended without driving everybody nuts and it adds ALOT to a solo performance!

I'm a complete packrat, so most of my droid spots are taken up by things that can store. I only have one droid with one playback slot. Typically I'll set it to Waltz/Bandfill, since I play Waltz a lot, and like most folks, I consider the Bandfill/Ommni Box to be the best accompanying instrument out there.
I hate the Ommni Box because I much prefer to be able to click on people for /setperform and emoting. That, and because jackasses can move it out from under me. I almost never use an Ommni or Narlagon unless I'm using the world object ones by Entertainer trainers.

Unfortunately, just as we cannot play two at once, neither can the droid. It will only play one song/instrument combo at a time.

OK, so what is the purpose of a dual wave sythesizer?
Also, why cant the droid record your flourishes? I start the droid recording, and I play four different flourishes ( I belive it only records for 4 measures). When I play it back, it is just continuous measures of the non-flourish music for that instrument/song combo.
Thanks!

Musicians make the Dual Wave Synths as a Droid Engineering component. DEs use these to make the playback modules.
The droids only record the base track, not the flourishes. They WILL respond to /bandflo, though. Just be careful with this, as some groups don't appreciate band flourishes, as only the band flourisher gets the xp for it, and everyone uses up action.
