You're right, Image Designers don'thave a purpose in terms of gameplay. Perhapsthey should? I suppose they should be able to buff something.

I like the changes being done to ID, maybe now we will be able to see a few more people who are actually ID's in the game, because they can do different things now, or will be able to in a month or so.

Added on edit: And yeah our proffession works, nothing is broken, the only thing I ask for is a message telling me my buff has been applied when my customer stops listening.

How about letting us buff ourselves? Doesn't seem unreasonable...

I can understand why it's debatable if one can entertain one's self. I think it is possible. But whatever.

an ID should be able togive a toon enhanced confidence or something, this would be the opposite of battle fatigue and would enhance a medicines effectiveness rather than decrease it like BF does, so you could use it before buffing from docs or wound healing or just for getting a boost from your stims in battle, it couldalso give youbonusdefense to stun/dizzy etc or maybeeven a boost to damage output, this could be one skill that would make ID actually begin to be partially useful, but you also need to remember that the fact it takes a matter of 1 or 2 hours to completely master ID, the payoff for being master cannot even begin to compare to that of other professions or it would be completely unfair. just a few ideas

I spend most of my time on the tailor boards, but this string made me want to reply. With the different profession revamps, and fixes coming out....EVERY profession wants attention. I was a ME and an MM but unfortunately I fled the AFK'ers...and it seemed I was always the only MM around so I was never able to group with anyone to play MM songs with a wide range of instruments. Anyway....from what I've read across the forums there are some in all professions who are frustrated with their profession's bugs, and how none of their suggestions/fixes have yet been implimented. Us tailors want more schematics like ents want more songs and dances. Admittedly we have received a few loot schematics that are ugly and some a waste, and the chef clothing that really is Chef specific. It doesn't do much for the tailor themself. I think focus can only be placed on one profession at a time, with a few improvements like ID is getting and Tailor has received. Small candy in some ways, but attention all the same. Each profession has issues that go back to release that we all want fixed, and want fixed now. I believe the broken stuff should be fixed across the boards first....then add flavor. Tailor, Entertainer, and Musician work well from a functional perspective.

Shy: it's true that Musician and Dancer have generally beenless buggy than some other professions, but they are also the only two professions that have gotten steadily worse since launch. They've gotten worse because players gradually learned how to perfect AFK-bots, buff-bots, and holotainer-bots. The AFK plague doesn't affect tailoring. You've got to be at the keyboard to craft, or at least to load and unload your factory, tend to your harvesters, and stock your vendor. By contrast, our profession has deteriorated over the past seven months, and we've received absolutely no new content to appease us, unless you count the improvements to our buff. To my mind, that's unacceptable.

Sweatyclimber: I guess I don't remember Hayden telling us that the music was done. All I remember is an exchange I had with several devs in the Correspondent forum a while ago, and a similar one on Test Center, to the effect that the basic melodies were done but the music was still being mixed and whatnot. Now, that was quite a while ago -- weeks or months ago -- but I don't remember hearing anything since. Now, I have heard people speculate that it may not be easy to upload it via the normal patch process. Is that right? Music files aren't particularly large, are they?

So, I should read the pub 8 notes again....

I think that ID getting some stuff will be good for ID....for a few weeks. Then things will settle down again when we all have neon pink hair (well I'm a fish so I won't).

Entertainer Effect Droids....who came up with that? Effects do nothing anyway and have you been in a cantina recently....people don't care if costs HAM and HAM is cheaper to replace than batteries.

There really is no love for ANY entertainer profession.

Random thoughts.....Make ID a wanted profession in the GCW, have ID have the ability to "disguise" to remove an overt tag to TEF...or TEF to nothing (put in a delay function...its removed faster). Make missions that work....and are interesting and profitable for all 3 entertainer professions. How bout DON'T KILL THE FEW THINGS WE HAVE. The Chef revamp introduced brandy that has all but killed the buff business. Pub 7 removed the clone macro (OK it was an exploit) but I am already seeing the populations creeping up in the cantinas again because there are not enough wounds coming in the door. Oh ya and since I have TONS of skill points in MM and ME so I can have mandoviol and ceremonial, I really appreciate needing to now have novice Pistoleer so I can use a republic blaster. Don't get me started on self buff, 2 hour limits, and such......I'm just happy that as they continue to ignore things like that, the "QuickBuff"s (TM) still work and also the lightning 30 second ones too.

Thanks for the love SOE.
