Right, one thing I can say is that not all devs are permitted to post on these boards. They may read the boards, but they can't post here. The reason is that SOE wants the company to speak with one voice, or at least relatively few voices. So the "Musician dev" never posted directly here; I was always a conduit for info. The trouble is, I have less and less info to pass on. It's really slowed to a trickle in the past few months. For good reason: there's nothing to report. Nothing good, anyway. They simply seem to have other priorities.
There will be a concerted group-rant by entertainer Correspondents tomorrow in the Correspondent forum. Ours is supposed to be one of the three or four main playstyles in this game. But we've been forgotten, left behind, abandoned, call it what you will.

This thread does have me thinking about ideas for getting us higher priority. I think we should propose that the devs hire or designate a full-time entertainer dev. Right now we don't have one.
Warlplex: I posted part of my reply to Tiaga in his thread in the Entertainer forum, but not all of it. Some of my reply was directed to other Correspondents who don't always understand the depth of entertainer despair, but I'm not sure I'm supposed to repeat that sort of discussion here.

Out of curiosity (and because I haven't the slightest clue to the answer), are there devs that are devoted to just one profession? I've never really seen mention of it in other forums. While it would probably be helpful to have a person on the development team devoted to each profession, that's 32 (isn't it? LOL) people with nothing but one profession and would still require people on individual systems to coordinate and so on.
Whether this is the case or not, it seems like the current system/information flow is that the forum correspondants act as the primary person devoted solely to the profession who hands the information to TH who hands the information to the devs. Kind of like an hourglass with devs on one end, the correspondents on the other, and TH in the middle. Many profession orginizations operate with this kind of communication flow (successfully)--which is also where I got the mental picture from--but it seems like there is just too much information that gets bottlenecked or lost because of the sheer number of people involved.
So...back to the point LOL...do other professions have a dev that's devoted solely to them? And if so, which ones?

There are 17 devs.
More than half are on JtL now, the others are spread over Jedi issues and some other, minor things.

It used to be that devs had explicit profession assignments, and we Correspondents got a periodic list of updates. For a while, the "music" dev had four or five professions including ours. But I haven't seen a list like that in a while. As others have said, Jedi and JTL are now consuming vast amounts of dev time.
