Well, it appears there is enough interest for me to mention my idea on what to do with the holos to make them more tolerable.

I would suggest that a droid should be crafted with a holorecording device installed in it. The disks would be craftable by entertainers and would normally be able to heal mind wounds only. In addition to the mind wound healing, a holorecording could also be able to confer a buff (say only 50% power) but ONLY if the droid itself witnessed the performance. An adventurer could come and have his droid record a performance and we could /setperform to the droid. A droid can hold a limited number of performances, and each performance is one use only. This would also allow entertainers to set up a good relationship with the droid engeineer profession since we could buy several holorecording droids at a time, /setperform, and then resell the droids.

I liked the suggestion about mind stims as well, one of the worst things in battle is to have a doctor along who keeps your health and action up, but then you die because your mind gets hit. I would love to have the ability to craft mind stims.

(And yes, I had imagined that a holorecording would be a holorecording--the user would be able to see the performer regardless of it being a musician or a dancer)

I think holorecordings would be a good add.. however certain safeguards need to be set in place..

  • Holorecordings can only heal wounds while in a cantina and can't be used in camps or anywhere else..

Doesnt that kindofmess upthe reason for a holorecording? Whats the point in them if they can only be used in cantinas, I know I wouldnt buy a holorecording if I had to go to a cantina to use it, I would just keep going to the cantina as normal.

  • Holorecordings can NOT heal BF..

I agree..

  • Holorecordings would take heal minds wounds roughly the way that "woundpacks A" heal in numbers..

Ok..

  • Holorecordings would take an average of 2,000 resources PER holo.. This will keep their use expensive and NOT replacing the live entertainer..

Umm, Ok.. but remember, this would only work if they could use the OUTSIDE the cantina.

  • Holorecordings would be a ONE charge disc.. So if you die without cloning and have 100 wounds.. it will take you approx 3,4 or 5 disc to heal all those wounds.. This puts the total healing at a cost of 10K or more..

I disagree, maybe 2 or 3 disks heal 100 mind wounds.

  • Holorecordings should not be able to BUFF.. only live master musician can do that..

I agree.

The only purpose I would like to see for Holorecordings is to be used as a last ditch effort to heal when live entertainers are NOT available in remote locations.. A NPC pet vendor can have the same effect..

Well how you have it, it would cost them more to buy a Holorecording, then to buy a ticket to go to coronet, or another cantina. 2000 per disk at 3 c per unit = 6000 about a round trip ticket to any where
