You can adjust the sound on midis.
And you havent noticed? Some of the sound's used in the songs are midi or synth (midi keyboard) Midi's can sound exactly like a piano, or mock alot of other instruments.
Or caribbean steel drums.......which is about as Un-StarWarsy asI can imagine.

But they were in the movie, so shouldnt it be considered 100% StarWarsy?
Well....sorta. I only recall that Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes had that sound. I don't recall hearing it anywhere else. Figrin D'an though didn't have anyone on Nalargon. Now I don't have an EU reference handy but a graphic of them I have looks liek they are on Fizzz, Fanfar X2, Kloo, Bandfill and Ommni Box. Max Rebo plays the Nal, bu I never heard it as Carribbean SteelDrums. Organ yes, but not the steel drums.
It just doesn't feel right to me.

Some people have onboard sound cards with really crappy midi support, some have sound cards for atleast $100.00, it's gonna sound different for those two different computer owners, if they would involve midi.
I would strongly protest if they added a midi engine ingame, it's such a 90's thing it makes the game sound like a crappy Nintendo 64 game.
But i respect your opinion.

There's not much that's gonna change after this whole revamp. Just see it as visual flourish planning and ten new songs with probably slightly better sound quality.
Don't forget you're still playing Star Wars Galaxies.

It's a Star Wars Game, if you want to make your own music get a music-application...
what a wonderful and constructive reply :-p
The fact that I have chosen the musician profession and can use "Composer" as my title should entitle me to ask if we are allowed to compose music no ?
Anyway, I look forward to the changes with a mild interest ;-)

Well, i did make it clear with only a few words. They should probably just fix the Composer title with something else since it has nothing to do with the profession. For example: "Jammer" or "Prodigy"
