The servers are down now, hopefully for patching...

I just don't like the idea of spreading existing content through the trees, rather than creating new content for empty trees. It seems incongruous to encourage dabbling by offering full-strength inspiration buffs at novice entertainer (though with longer application time) and at the same time discourage dabbling in this way.

I am also seriously disappointed with this choice.

Dancers get some props in their xxx4 branch.

We get everything we have gotten, just SPREAD OUT into that branch? What the hell is that?

Way to spank those 0040 Musicians, didn't want them playing with me, anyways. Oh wait, I DID. Now they're gimped.

Quite frankly, I think spreading what we've always had into other branches is totally LAME.

CHANGE IT BACK.

Put REAL content in that branch that they've now gutted. Don't give me what I've already got, in a new place. What the hell is that?

Yay for dancers....but we seem to have to do more work to do what we could do in one line. I'm VERY disappointed. Also they nerfed our effects. No more 3 levels of effects. Dazzle just gives me the loopy one for example.

I TRULY cannot believe what im hearing. Now we have to have two lines just to be able to play songs with a big group? I was going to be picking them up anyways, but HOW ABOUT GIVING US SOMETHING WE WANT instead of spreading it out?

You know what would make up for all the <Self edit> that they have been doing? Such as no Master ID badge for me, spreading musician even thinner, and the BF deal? Give us a marching line. Put back the spread out line like it is/was and replace a healing line with MARCHING.

How cool would it be to have a parade through a city?

Replace the other healing line with marching instruments, like a SW version of a trumpet, marching drum, marching quad, clarinet, flute, ETC. This would make up for most of the crap SOE is doing, for me at least. It would make me not cancel after this time runs out, like I'm planning.

Are you sure about that? I did notice that the new effects only had one level, but I was able to successfully do all 3 levels of /firejet (the original /firejet, not the new /firejet2). I was satisfied with that test at the time, and thus did not test any of the other effects.

Hey Warr.....I hate to say I told you so....but I did. What happened to your "Wait and see" for the new Inspires that they have /cough /cough promised.

These changes are EXACTLY what I was complaining about when they were announced as "in development". Musicians lose another 2 steps (skillpoint expenditure for dabbling and BF) and only get 1 new song and f/x (that I will test momentarily). Dancers do better, but not much. Now dancers have something to balance our instruments....sorta, but if the devs now consider that balanced....where is our "#2" version of all our songs?

The biggest thing is that we have no purpose in the greater game. Almost the entire rest of the game is combat, and other than inspires, which are only really good for grinding and the double XP solved most of that, we have no interaction with the rest of the game unless we give up music or entertaining and go join the fray.

NOWHERE did we ask for things to be removed, we want ADDITIONAL content. We want MORE ways to interact with the larger game. We wanted BF to be MORE important. We get a new song and new Fx.......

Does anybody know the official reason(s) why they removed battle fatigue? At this point, it seems that the removal of battle fatigue is completely unjustified. I know there are a lot of theories, but I would really like to see the truth instead.

I didn't want to react until the changes were officially announced, I waited until they were officially announced, and the patch notes came out as they did.

Yes, you called it - but I was holding onto the hope that they wouldn't just gut BF from us, and wouldn't just water down Musicians. I was hoping they'd add anything in to truly make allthis change worthwhile.

A few new effects (which I'm sure you TC folks will confirm - have NO EFFECT on ANYTHING other than being eye candy), a new song, and thepurging of the 0040 Musicians. Also, no compelling reason for people to come to cantinas.

This blows.

Say "I told you so" all you like, but I withheld my judgement until it was official, and my opinion on the official notes released are: IT BLOWS. This could have been done WAY better than it was. And I'm pretty much positive absolutely nothing will change about it.

I understand things will be coming in stages for us. I KNOW THIS. But this is the most damaging, most nonsensical, most uninspiring, most morale killing, most nerf-like thing they could have done for "round one." It makes me feel likea gigantic sucker at this point.

BF removal is premature, until something truly replaces it. End of story.

Moving what we've ALREADY had at our disposal to entertain with into 2 branches, that used to be covered in 1, has cost us untold numbers of fellow Musicians. Sure, maybe they weren't masters, but they were potential bandmates, and Entertainers nonetheless.

They are now gone. Those that stuck around will look at factoring in another branch of Musician into their template, and will likely not find it worthwhile just to do EXACTLY what they could before. It makes a lot more sense to say, "Oh, you gonna nerf me, after all we've been through? Well, fine - nerf this, I'm done with Musician."

The Devs MAY have a super secret justification for doing this - but in the end it's a nerf, plain and simple, and our numbers are now dwindling.

Apparently an instrument is now considered a "prop" for Musiciansto the Devs.

Ok, Devs - toot away on starwars1 without an instrument. Ready? GO!

Well, come on - start playing. Let's hear it.

COME ON, PLAY.

Put your "prop" down, and PLAY. Let's hear it.
