Just out of curiousity, but will the ratings be reset with the new system? Posting in the entertainer forums isn't very productive towards a decent post rating.
Not that I'll ever get 400 posts, but, eh, just curious.

GarVawrote:
2. What about one star bandits (eq: those that go through one starring every post)
A: Contrary to popular belief, these are 1. rare and 2. have very little effect on the rating or ranking systems. The only thing it hurts is the bandits wrist. It takes 20 1 star ratings to cause a post to be hidden by the default system. Additionally we are putting measures in to be able to track and even "title" these posters so everyone will know who they are. When we findsomeone who abuses the rating systemwe do lower their "rating" weight to prevent abuse.
He is obviously mistaken with the whole rare thing... or he hasn't read the entertainer fourms! Anyone else notice that the best ranks take 48 months to get?

Yeah, it used to be really, really bad particularly in the ID forum. And yeah, you just gotta play for a long time I guess
That color code seems to be a little off however asI have seen some brown names running around with the title of guide.

Bah, one star bandits don't hurt you my slitherhorn!
The other night some jerk went through my post history and gave my last 100 posts one-star.
My rating dropped from 3.7 to 2,8 in a few hours. I also lost my Pilot forum rank since your rating has to be higher than 3.0 to get/keep it.
Thanks to some kind folks my rating has gone up to 2.9/3.0 (it's fluctuating there now) but I fear my rating has been ruined forever.
I hope there's a way to delete all the one-stars done by these bandits...

Out of curiosity, where can you see the numeric value of your average post rating? All I can see is a star value, which has discrete values of 1, 2, 3, 4, of 5.

Click on your forum handle.
You'll get this profile for your account.
There should be a whole section called User Statistics. Hold your mouse over the stars for Average Message Rating and it'll give you your average to the nearest tenth of a star.

I get Squadron Leader in exactly one month and a day.
I still think that peach color is a bit ugly...
