I have always stayed out of this argument! Hehe, I do have my own feelings about it, but I've kept them to myself. I can report, though, that there have been polls on it in the past, and invariably the Musician community has been deeply divided on it.

I was gonna pretty much say the same thing about the combat profs Warryyr, but I was going to use Lunge2 since its a direct skill related to each profession (UA Lunge2, 2H Lunge2, etc...) but the elites of those professions still have to master brawler to access that.

But I can not endorse a vote that would remove my favorite instrument from Master Entertainer. I can not even endorse the idea about sharing. However I am not opposed to having a new stringed instrument added to the Musician tree. I once was though...but my stance changed.


I have had many arguements over this particular subject, and you can do a search and find the view points of a great many people. It once appeared to be almost evenly divided, but if this particular thread is an indicator, then what I had said a long time ago about given time, not a lot of people would care about it anymore, seems to be true.


I can understand your view on this subject, especially with skill points becoming more and more precious as more folks become FS. And even if not for the force related content, it would be nice to be able to free skill points to do other things. To some, the Mando is a sacrifice, to others, it is not.


If we could have been seen to be as important as other classes and had a small stream of content added to us, then this particular subject may never have surfaced again, but here we are again. I really wish I could help to change, ot at least alter your point of view on this small thing so that you would not feel slighted. If I can help in any way, let me know. Just PM me or what not.

Well the Mando sounds pretty good with SW1....IF you don't have any wind insturments. I personally HATE the wind insturments. they just sounds yucky.


I love my Mando, and personally I don't think it needs to be apart of Muscian...its fine where its at.

How I justified in a roleplaying sense as to why you should need ID and Dance to get it?


To play the mandovial-requires personal identity introspection (Image Design) and learning to physically feel and understandenvironmental harmony (Dance).

I too would not sign this sort of vote.

Even if the Mandovial was removed and replaced with a different instrument that only ME's could have then you'd have the same votes and arguments starting!

I'm quite happy to leave the Mandovial where it is and just add some new instruments and lots more new music to the game.

I have to agree, master ent needs to keep mando. I feel if you are a true musician, you will master entertainer. I will never master musician without ent myself.

I say: Masters keep mandos.


It's been their instrument for a while now, and when you use it, you often get "Oh cool, you're also a master entertainer?" comments from people who know of it. Or at least I have.

I tihnk you only want this because you can't grind through ID quickly... Playing the Mandoviol is an honor just like playing the nalargon... If mandoviols were transfered to musicians than they may as well let 0/0/2/0 Entertainers use the Nalargon...
