Thanks for posting these.

For those discussing it... StarWars4 IS based on part of the main theme of Star Wars.
(I'm scratching my head, trying to figure out how to explain the speciffic part...)
It's the part after the regular main them (Can you hear Bill Murray singing "Star Waaaars, oh-oh-oh Star Warss..." lol)
Well, after that main part, the song breaks and this march bit comes up, (It sounds like this) ba-baaam bom, ba-baaam bom, ba-baaaaamm, bah-bah-bah-bombom...
LOL
It's generally the 3rd Movement within the Star Wars Main Theme (Main Titles, End Credits, and definately during the Death Star Run and general climactic action scenes), after the main Star Wars meldoy, there is a little bit of a lighter/romantic theme and right after that it goes to the brash part that StarWars4 is based on... which then leads back into the Main Theme Star Wars Melody in full throttle.
Okay let me find it on the CD...
This is one of those posts you could just delete and not post, but I'll post it anyway, and accept the abuse that may follow =p

is it just me or is StarWars 4 actaully far more funk like than Funk
Funk certainly is not funk, but they've never really gotten these names to match the tunes.
Hehe, let's just label it "alternative"

I believe SW4 is from the Sail Barge scene but I can't be sure. I need to watch it again.
Thanks Tiaga and Vertex for the jam session last night on TC. Was WONDERFUL!!!
The new dances look pretty fun too. Breakdance definately goes VERY well with Funk

Teehee! I'm always trying to type out music for people like this, and no one ever knows what the hell I'm talking about. It's too bad I know what this is supposed to be, or I could try my hand at trying to figure it out from the other side.
In any case, that's a pretty good typing of it

.
HaHa, you're absolutely right.
And I like to try and figure out the same thing as well... "would I know what this sounds like if I didn't already know the tune?", hehe.
Just for our studying purposes, you wanna know what's funny... Reading the part that you snipped, even I couldn't figure out which part you were referring to (in the way that I typed it). I had to run through the whole tune to figure out which part the "bah-bah-bah-bombom" represented, Heehee!
So I'd say that without knowing the exact tune, no one will get it from what I typed... LOL.
Although that was just one phrase snipped from the rest... maybe with the whole thing it makes more sense... we may never know.
Who needs notations!?!
Name that (Star Wars) tune:
dom dom dom du du-dom du du-dom.

May the tune be with you.

But bahdadadom-bom is Beethoven's fifth.
