I'm not spending as much time in cantinas as I was, but that's because I need to brush up on my pistol skills and get enough money for some half-decent armour

Plus I'm still reeling from the fact that Fanfars and Kloo Horns sound identical to damn Slitherhorns and Fizzs

Formerly:
Pedr-Dwl Wibble - Gunslinging tracker for hire on Farstar - Staff Cpl, Imperial auxillary
Elisa von-Smolloff - Pyromaniac bird of Infinity - Cpl, Rebel special forces
Now gone.
Doesn't see the point of a bile-venting "I'm leaving" thread.

I had been a Master Musician since the beginning, but with the holo and rudeness factor of some customers, i dropped it. I decided last night I'm taking it back up, and this time for good.Even if things are like they were, i'll find some way to make it fun again.

I just had a great time on Wanderhome in the Moenia cantina with 2 really excellent musicians/dancers - Zee and Ap'O. They took me in and taught me to dance and play the slitherhorn and were generous to boot. I'll be passing it forward!

Really - they played some of the best music I've heard in this game. I'm going to have to check out the smaller places from now on. Who knew Starwars2 could sound so great?

Taylu McMaddie - Wanderhome, Moenia, Naboo
Jill of a bunch of trades - master of none - yet

Well, I'm better than dirt! Well, most kinds of dirt.
I mean, not that fancy store-bought dirt.
That stuff's loaded with nutrients. I can't compete with that stuff.

We're waiting for the AFK empire to stop oppressing our people with their horrifically bad 1-flourish forever tunes. We need a funk rebellion.

Eventually we'll open the secret Music Sensitive Creativity Studio again and find the Devs put the Force cookies back in the jedi quest jar. It would be nice if so many were actually into the profession, and not because a small blue cube told them to.

We're still around. Many got sucked into the evil hologrind 2000 and will be walking funny when they get back up on stage.

"Is that a lightsaber in your pants," the Dancer said, "or are you just happy to see me again?"

"Neither." I replied tersely.

"It's my Fizz. Don't call it a comeback, baby."

Much love to the other entertainers out there.

Yeah, you get another round of identical instruments after that I think. Just be glad that they sound half-decent on the higher songs.

And there was me hoping I'd get a nice string instrument...

You have to master Entertainer to get the only stringed instrument, the Mandoviol. It's worth it, if you're going to make Music your career. Thing is, with Master Entertainer/Musician, you can only then master one more thing to elite status. And that's only if it isn't cross-disipline. But the Mandoviol is way cool.

Basically, there are five instrument sounds. The three mentioned, the Mandoviol (strings -- sounds like a guitar on Starwars1, and either a mandolin or a violin on everything else...which is really icky on Jazz and Virtuoso, lemme tell ya) and the Narlagon, which sounds like someone hit the spliff a few times too many. Keyboard, with a Jamaican/island theme on every friggin' song.

The Mandoviol gets drowned out by the horns pretty easily, so it actually works best if you have two mandoviols, and one of everything else. Not that that happens all that often.

Yeah, I know about the Mandoviol and it peevs me somewhat (can't really fit m.ent into what I was aiming for), but hey.
