Where do you think Master Musicians Kome from? Ask For Knowledge! I always had 1 box of Ent to heal my mind wounds and BF at the ned of the day. So I rearly go into the Big City Kantinas, but I have been into them int heir Hay Days. I decided to re-tool my toon as a Carb/MDncr/MMus. I head into Theed Kantina and what do I find? MT! As the week goes on, Nov Ents (aka AFKers) show up. As do 2~4 M M&Ds, but they don't want to have anything to do with the new komers. All I'm saying is that, now that people arn't just Grinding & moving on to the next HOLO, it will take some time (AKA!!! AFK)to restoke the M M&Ds. Talk with those Nov M&Ds invite them on hunts and shear the wealth, and some day you will have a Mstr M/D when ever you need one. DON"T say that a 25% buff isn't worth the TIME or MONEY. Kause you know what will happen, there wont be a Master around when you need one NOW will there?
that is one disjointed post. i guess the point your making is, befriend novice entertainers because they can help you later. Which is great, and I wholeheartedly encourage thatif (anda big IF) those entertainers are actually around to talk. Most are AFK, and AFK all day.
I think it's great you picked up entertainer professions in your template, if only to use them to serve yourself. The point is that you enjoy what you're doing, and you seem to be happy with your choices. Good job!
Also, as a side note, a C is not interchangeable with a K when it comes to spelling. *points at the Check Spelling link at the bottom of the Post box*

Warryyr, I definitely understand your zero-tolerance policy on afk entertainers. However, when it comes to befriending novice entertainers, I think that perhaps a lot of good can come of befriending even those who appear to be afk quite often. Instead of just rejecting them outright, take the opportunity to let them understand they can have fun and be useful even when they're not yet master. Then they might not feel pressured to afk themselves to master, which may be the only reason they're doing it.
Of course, if you can't convince them to play atk, there's no reason to befriend an npc.
Hmm, I think you misunderstood what I said. My statement that you can talk to them if and only if they're not AFK is not referring to the tag over their heads - i ignore that all the time. Some people use AFK as a /tell auto-reply.
I'm referring to repeated attempts to talk with them in Spatial or /tells results in either:
a) no response whatsoever
b) "tips and heals are appreciated! Invite me if i'm not in a group, I have auto-join on!"
c) and afk response chiming back with every /tell, and no response from the player
Those are the people who I don't talk to - because well, they don't talk to me.
I by no means meant to insinuate that I just outright don't talk to folks who have an AFK tag up. I meant you can talk to novice entertainers so long as they're actually at the keyboarding and playing, not AFK and just plain not there in any way shape or form.
I guess I was driven to say something because I did some afk grinding (while at work and sleep, and all in all not too much of it) to get to master, before realizing in what a horrible state things are. I could easily have been converted had I read the forums earlier in the process or had someone told me that what I was doing was harmful.
But yes, talking to people who don't talk back can be hard. Or fun. Depending on your level of insanity
