Looked like her heal xp for the buffs carried over to me.

I've asked, but have not gotten verification of whether or not this is a bug or intended.

I remember reading in a patch note that:

  • Extended performer experience rewards to all members of the buffer's band*

*from the Pub 17 patch notes 5/26/05

To me this is saying that the inspire healing XP gain will now go to all members of the band. Now literally that means that EVERYONE will get it, however I agree that the performer should be playing to get that XP just like the normal BF healing or the old mind wound healing.

Yet again the devs have taken something really simple and messed it up.

Thanks - I could dimly remember having read something like this, but didn't have a clue anymore where and when (onset of old age memory loss I guess ). But as you say, it's still strange that I can get those xp wothout performing, and I don't particularly care for that either.

I wonder what would happen if someone is in the band but doesn't have entertainer skills? Or maybe it was a result of me holding an instrument (I mention that because there's this bug that when you dance with an instrument in your hand and someone does /changeband, you'll start skill-animating music. Maybe this is similar).

Hmm, maybe some tests would be in order. I'll see if I can get together with a dancer on the weekend to go through a few possibilities.
