/pausemusic is supposed to cause your music to stop making sound for the period of one flourish. I've had troubles making it work if I have a macro going, especially if there are still /flos in queue, so I normally /dump my macros and do manual flourishes for a couple of minutes until I'm ready for the pause. It works best if you're the band lead so you don't have to worry about other people's /bandflo's messing it up too. I have several /pausemusic macros which are really basic things...for example if I'm on bandfillI might use a macro like:

/pausemusic
/say Mando solo!
/pause 1
/bandflo 6 mando

Personally I enjoy doing these sorts of things, especially in a band with all instrument voices...if you do countdowns, it's possible to cut out the entire band for an instrument solo, and that usually sounds awesome!

You may not be hearing the pause. It lasts only for the duration of one flourish, so it's easy not to notice your own pause if you're in a band. Try firing up a tune solo, with no macro; do a couple of flourishes; then type /pausemusic and listen.

My question is whether there's a way to /pause n, that is pause for n number of beats or flourishes.
