It's clear, but now I don't see why your first macro doesn't work.

Oh. So the problem was the number of repeats, not the structure of the macro itself?

Yes. There is a big difference between a /pause 20 and a /pause 8.

I survived the CU

I can not survive the NGE

Yeah, I did the "assign keys to flourishes thing" right away. I'm don't really care (much) about the xp; I'm just trying to get some interesting music out of the system. It's kind of interesting, as an example, that a flourish macro sometimes sounds good with one song (rock, or folk, say) and notso-hotso with, say, starwars3. But now I can get the whole flourish-series song down as a macro. Next step: more complicated song structures, then (once I get to the non-wind instruments) maybe lyrics. Thanks again for all the help!

Don't overlook the fact that you can band flourish and you can direct the band flo's at specific instruments. I keep a playback droid with bandfill for my favorite songs on it (well actually 3 droids and all but rock recorded). You use /bandflourish just like /flourish where you put the flourish number after the command. Now everyone in the group will play the same flourish. You can also /bandflourish 3 fizz and only the fizz will play that flourish. You can shorten the command to /b but that can break if they add a new command starting with B in the future. You can also stack these so that different instruments can do different flourishes all at the same time. If you /flourish first you can take lead since it overrides any bandflo that follows. To make this clear consider the following (assuming you are playing a mando).

/flourish 5;

/bandflourish 1 mandoviol;

/bandflourish 3 bandfill;

Ok now you will play flourish 5, all other mandos will play flourish 1 and the bandfills will play flourish 3. It makes for some very interesting combinations.

Also on the /b for "/bandflourish", you can also abbreviate the instrument to a single letter except Fizzz and Fanfar that you have to use 2....

so...

/bandflourish 6 mandoviol

can be simplified to....

/b 6 m

Enjoy!

And there is also /pausemusic, which is basically a single "null" flourish. You won't be playing any sound for the single flourish. I like throwing that in every now and then to add some variety to a jam band (ie not bandflourising).

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. You've basically killed the game for anyone who doesn't want the glowstick. Congratulations.

I just wish there was a /bandpausemusic so one instrument could solo easily in a group setting.
