I dunno...I just disagree here. I don't want to see the timer removed until after they've fixed the exploit.

For what it's worth, various of us ent corrs and glowies have been bringing this one up lately as something that should be fixed with any changes that come our way. If the exploit can't be directly addressed, I think Tiaga's suggestion of starting the 15 second timer from the start of play rather than the end of play would work happily.

Sounds good
Thanks!

Yes, that would be great if they could do something with this. If they started the timer after we started playing for 15 sec, the people who don't exploit would never even notice it and it would do its job of stopping the start-stoppers. This solution seems so obvious it makes one wonder why they didn't do itthatway in the first place instead of subjecting us to that delay all this time. They really should consult us before they do a "bad" fix. Now you know why I am so worried about them working on the afk buffbot problem.

Yep, I agree. That would prevent the exploit, but allow Entertainers to switch instruments or songs quickly without negatively impacting their performance.

Obvious and easy aren't necessarily the same, unfortunately. Obvious is also usually moreso once you know something. It's hard to see a simple idea and not think it's obvious, even if you'd never thought of it before seeing it.

Inside my heart is breaking, my make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly - my friends
