Has this suggestion been posed to the development team yet? I really think this would be much better compared to the goofy flourish dictators idea. I don't think it would be all that hard to implement, but then again I'm not a programmer of any sort.

The code is notentirely necessary. You could cut the idea to just a button click inthe UI. The thing with the number being random is, even a third party macro program can't defeat it as long as the number isn't highlightable with the cursor (copy/paste).It could be something as simple astwo digits. No one will run a macro that will only work one in a hundred times. If you want people to be able to AFKbuff with third party programs (which SOE cannot and will notpolice) that's fine, but I won't agree with you.
The way I'm envisioning this UI, it would 'minimize' to just the meter after you agree on a secured payment, leaving you free to perform however you like.Buffing should be a performance, not just a game mechanic.With the UIminimized, I just don't see it as a spreadsheet. Just a tool to make sure than buffs happen 100% of the time, entertainers get paid 100% of the time, and AFK buffers are out of jobs.

Well that would **edit** buffing with a omni box or nanargel
It is close to impossible to totally prevent afk play, it can however be made so difficult to have you character functioning while you are afk that only the most dedicated will do it.
The challenge is to only make afk play difficult, and not cause hazels for the ATK people.

Not really. When using the omni or nalargon, you could use a command something like "/musicbuff xxx" where xxx is the person you want to buff. Then that could send a request to the customer much like the transfere screen. When they accept it could bring up the buff box on both parties screen. From there they could agree a fee and possibly allow the customer to request a song.
I know some people dont want to turn buffing into filling in a spread sheet. But that would only be to setup the 'sale' and would hopefully only take a few seconds before having to actually perform the buff as per usual.
For me this would make it MORE interesting as aposed to less and I would feel like the service was more official and like I was interacting more with the customer.
