I myself would prefer buffing be an ATK only thing. Weither the game itself times for someone's AFK timer, or requires them to click a complex buff box that makes the value of the buff (power and length) depend on how well you are able to keep up with random changes in a "buffing" window. Take a card from The IDs, maybe then Musicians and dancers can know exactly when the buff has reached its maximum peak (if they're not figuring out the math themselves).
