I am all for the removal of buffbots. It's really hard for my entertainer to make some $$$ when competing with free buffbots. But what happens atnight when all the live entertainers have gone to bed and some latenight adventurers need a buff? I play atnight on a regular basis and I've been happy to find a buffbot so I can take my pistoleer out.
Or even early in the morning...I found one atk entertainer (master dancer). Went like this:
Me: Hi
Her: Hello
Her: /yawn
Me: May I geta buff?
Her: I'm grinding.
Me: OK, then I'll just use an afkbot
Her: Great! Thanks!
Me: (as I left the cantina) And you wonder why your profession is dying.
I'm forced to use buffbots if I want to get the most out of my time in the morning

If she was already a master dancer then I assume the grinding she was talking about was for jedi, in which case you weren't talking to a real dancer. I give buffs when I'm asked, and I've been known to show up late to meet friends because I was asked for a buff or an ID just as I was leaving.
Though I am sorry and shamed that any entertainer whould blow you off like that, please don't judge us all from the actions of one. If we did that then all combat people would be griefers and buffbot supporters, which is, of course, most certianly NOT the case.

You're 100% right but not in the way you think. Hologrinders, AFKers, and now the Jedi grinders have severelydamaged our professions. People who join the entertainer professions butwho don'tenjoy, care about, or respectthose professions have severely damaged them.
Chances are she afk'd her way to masterand if you hadchecked back 10 minutes later she would have been afk macroing away to get her exp for jedi. I'd alsobe willing to bet my unused holocrons (they look so pretty sitting on theshelf) that once recurssive macros are gone she'lldrop dancer.
I became a musician because I enjoy it. Sure I can buff people for +100% and heal their battle fatigue and mind wounds very quickly, but what I enjoy is when people who don't need healing or buffs listen to me just because they enjoy my music.

Pretty!
I only have two unused holocrons so they're shelf decorations.
Ok, justa couple more commentson this thread and then I'm spraying it with bug spray and declaring it officially dead (someone will come along and beat the dead gualama, I just know it).
1) If you're a novicemusician or dancer learn how to buff. If/when looping macros go away you will need to know how to do this so you might as well learn it now and not fumble through it later.
2) If you're not an entertainer when you need healing watch the non-Masters. They need the entertainer healing exp to get to master and it's in your best interest to help them get there.
