Ok... first off forgive mefor a) making another random curiosity post and b) giving it such a puerile title...

Now... am I the only one who doesn't confine my playing to the cantina? Seems to me that Galaxies involves a lot of waiting... buff queues, starports... stuff like that. Being a musician has made these things far more bearable, simply because.. it gives you something to do.

I mention this now because I'm still on a high from playing whilst waiting for the shuttle in coronet last night. By the time it arrived... I had an impressive crowd gathered round, /emoting applauds and cheers, leaving a nice space around me (I do kind of like the attention, I admit...). I loved it so much I /hugged the Imp who /spat at me and everything.

Do others do this? Had any particuarly good experiences through it? I guess I loved it because there was no purpose other than to entertain... people couldn't heal themselves by listening, they did it beause they wanted to....

I just whip it out where ever I feel like

I was on rori waiting for the shuttle and one other person bought a ticket and stood next to the droid. An audience of one is still an audience so I took out my horn and started playing for the lady. She cheered and clapped and we had a nice little conversation. I always like to play to a smaller audience now

"I can live much happier with a 4:59 wait at the starport. About time devs!"

Am I the only person who thinks that cutting the starport wait times was a cheap move meant to appeal to the almighty leets? I think it is stupid to have a shuttle every 5 minutes. What airport has a flight to a certain destination every 5 minutes? Why they had to do this now, with JTL (with its convenient flights anytime)right around the corner is a mystery to me.

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.

No, you're not the only one. It may be more convenient if you want to get somewhere fast, and I can understand if they did this 6 months ago, but with JTL coming out there's really no point in lowering the wait times. (heh when I got the game, I was disappointed in the shuttle system anyway, because I wanted to actually walk around on the shuttles, talk to the other passengers, etc...but that too would have annoyed the 1337 |]00|]'5 "OMG I just wanna get there and pwn things!" )

I can understand why they changed the shuttleports to 5 minutes--you can usually drive to wherever you're going in 10 minutes, but with starports, I think it should have remained at 10.

(And remember, this is just my opinion, you can choose touse it, lose it, or abuse it as you see fit.)

Maybe it was their way of "helping out" the people who have said it takes to long to get back to town for a buff...sounds like their way of fixing things.

I was on Lok the other night, and discovered Droidekas, despite their many faults, are quite appreciative of music!
