no, the xantha only has sounds for western and no other songs as it stands right now, butthe fact that the xantha sounds are in the game files, and go with the western song when put together, it is very sound beliefe that it will be added 'eventually'. possibly after they get a musician or three to add the xantha into the original songs(its much easier to write music from scratch adding instruments as you go than it is to add a new instrument to an exsisting song and make it sound like it belongs there).


odds are that if they cant get the xantha to fit into the exsisting songs, it will be a dropped project...



here is a thought to stew on in the meantime


what do you think the quest to get it if/when they add it will be like and how many hundreds of thousands of music exp will we need to fork out after we complete the quest to play it?






It'll probably be another little perform for NPC people and advertise quest thing, and the required XP will be TWO MILLION. So then the devs don't HAVE to work on anything because OUR XP caps at 900k...

Can't wait to hear it! I don't want to go listening to the sound files, I think I'll wait for it to appear in-game.

I'm far more interested in a new instrument than in a new song. Western doesn't really do a whole lot for me. I hate it on 3/5 of the instrument varieties.


I was really looking forward to a new instrument, and extremely disappointed that we didn't end up getting it.

They don't exist as of yet, as far as I know - not even on the test server. Checked last week myself.

Those devs better not make me brinng up GMax, go to every known star wars site known to man for info, make a model, and give it to them, make songs with flourishes for the thing, and send those off to them. Cause I'll do the first half if they get lazy again o_o

Question -- So people found something in the game files labeled xantha with extra music for the western song. Did they also look to see if there was any artwork named xantha in the game files? And if so, was it there? People posted pictures of the cybernetic arm and stuff that were found in the game files. If there isn't any art for it, then I doub't we will see it anytime soon.


Also, I'd really like a new instrument to have new flourish animations, too. So many of the animations for musician are the same. If this is just another glorified horn with the same animations, well pfffft...

I could care less about the flourishes personally. For half the songs the flourishes aren't even appropriate, I don't see many bands doing waltzes where the guitarist is picking with his teeth. I'd be happy if they removed them completely if it gets us more songs and instruments.
