Thread: I would like to know all the technical BAND commands (for up and coming band)
/bandflo <#> <instrument>
Also make good use of the /pausem command. It only pauses the person that types it in, not the whole band, so rehearse that one a bit for some sweet drum solos.
yes for /pausem for solo's do a countdown macro first so ppl know when to pause and its great for any other solo to tho i usually have the drums play durring the others... ps we also use it for band bow and band tech effects... all the rest i thin are in there
Bandflourishes may not sound good, but when you do the different instruments independantly using the targetted flourishes, it can sound good.
you probably know of us K'vern we are The Slice Hounds
its just im new to the band and love to hear all the tricks that other people use to entertain![]()
i mean i just found out about there being 3 effects for each light effect you can do ![]()
Hmm these might have been said already ![]()
/startmusic (name of song)
/stopmusic
/startband (name of song) - gets all musicians playing simultaneously
/stopband - stops all musicians
/changeband (name of song) - changes the band song while the band is already playing. It will also trigger any musician with an instrument out to start playing if they aren't already (note that this command can sometimes bug player animations and you might have to use it twice. It will not affect the sound of the song though).
/startdance (name of dance)
/stopdance
/changedance (name of dance)
/bandflo on/off - very useful command that will determine whether or not you will accept band flourishes (dancer or musician ones).
Then there are other commands for speech, which are also useful to know when you're writing a song or a poem ![]()
/sing
/rap
/retort
/whisper
/jabber
/slur
etc.... not sure about the full list of those ones ![]()
Also, familiarize yourself with the different moods andsocials we can use... you might want to incorporate them into your lyrics for added effect. They are very handy and often underappreciated in this game ![]()
I think that's it... if Ithink ofanything else I'll repost ![]()
Look forward to hearing the Slice Hounds at the festival!
Yeah /bandflourish [#] [instrument] is your friend. Use this to specify which instrument you want to do aflourish.
For instance, if you type /bandflo 1 kloo then ONLY the kloo horns will play flourish 1. Everyone else will play the base melody.
Put these commands back-to-back and you do bandflourishes that actually sound good. Let's say you have a bandfill, a kloo horn, and a fanfar playing...
/bandflo 1 kloo
/bandflo 8 bandfill
/bandflo 3 fanfar
... or something like that would make all three instruments to separate flourishes at the same time.
I think this is one of the must under-utilized commands available for musicians.
