Since you mentioned it, I'll give up the skinny. There are three of us Starsider entertainers [two musicians and one dancer] working on this.
It's gonna be up by Wednesday at the latest and yes it's called The Galactic Intertainers Guild, or GIG, and I'll post the addy just as soon as the forum is built.
Without going to in-depth here, this is what it's going to do - A clearinghouse of info about being an entertainer in SWG. We will have a band registry, member registry, a place to set up gigs, an events listing, a news area for stuff pertaining to the entertainer classes, a collection of guides [Using alias macros, Your flourishes and You, Working the crowd, The Entertainer's Code], in-character essays, diaries and travel guides and a forum.
It won't be a PA but it will be an advocacy group for entertainers, musicians and dancers and an in-game professional association thta has two missions
1. Promote the arts in SWG
2. Establish a professional standard for entertainers of all types
It is going to be Starsider focused at first but I can see that focus expanding, or others on other servers taking up the ball with their own ideas.
Anyway, that's that.

This sounds like it will rock! Is it only for Starsider?
I've been trying to get together with people on Chilastra with this in mind but I have no web page skills, only interest in lending my time for the content to said page. I met some people on Chilastra but things are getting going slowly as we're all grinding up to master right now. To be expected I guess.
Please send me an e-mail with some info when you get it:

I've thrown together a simple website at the request of a few musicians on Shadowfire. With the permission of NewJedi I have also included the FAQ thread in a nice simple form as well. Thanks NewJedi. If anyone wants to take a look and make other suggestions of what could be added to make a good resource for musicians, then post here, or on the website. Let the criticism begin.....constructive of course!
The link is: http://www.lobber.co.uk/swgmusician
It is on a temporary server at the moment while I work on it, but if traffic gets too busy and it can't cope, then I will move it to a better location.
Tanoo.

Glad to see my list is being put to good use. Keep in mind it is a work in progress and I am continually updating it. So you might want to check back from time to time. That said, great job on the website

Does anyone have a 'Getting started' guide for musicians or any other guide they would like to add to the website? I think this would be a nice addition. I might write one myself if there isn't one out there already that someone has done.....
Any other ideas?
Tanoo.
