I just trained my Ommni Box skill and when I play with the instrument it keeps auto /stopmusic on me. Whether im flourishing or not. It's really odd and VERY annoying. Basically can't use the instrument. Also the flourish animations sometimes don't go off.
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks

are you keeping the instrument targeted?
I have always hated that part, having to keep it targeted ... really makes it tough to target someone for a buff and keep the box targeted to play it
Been that way from the very beginning .... I always ended up swapping out instruments just so I could buff folks and end up making less XP due to it

Or use /inspire [name] while keeping the instrument targetted.

Yea, but do you know how hard that is with some of these UBer L337 Names?!

I know, I've had to type out some long, complex while buffing b/c I was playing the Nal. Fortunately, very few crafters have UBer L337 names.
The other problem I have is thatI like to click on the person when they stop listening so I can see if the buff worked properly. You cannot do this quality control if you're playing the ommni box or Nal.
I guess you could also set up a /inspire hot key andquickly click on the person, hit the hot key,and then goback to the instrument.

You should be able to put in just enough letters to distinguish between players, so as long as the l33t d00d crafters (are there any of them?) don't all have the same first few letters then it is easy to distinguish.

Well people have spoken to the stopping/targeting issue. As to the Annimations not going off, a few of them are VERY subtle. Like just a slight variation in how you bob to the beat. It can be annoying to think you are not annimating, when in fact you are. Pay attention to the music though and you'll hear the flos.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. It allows you to play the instrument without having to equip it. If it were otherwise, you'd never be able to play the public instruments on the outdoor stages, nor would you be able to share your instrument with another entertainer.
Annoying sometimes, yes. Bug, no.

Cool, thanks for the "target" tip! Wasn't aware of that.
What a lame bug.
