Thread: REVOLTING?
Pls note... I've read that some Dev is working on abilities/inspriation buff, but fact is, this release went live way too soon, so we're now stuck with it. First things that will be done is to FIX all the bugs that are still there, then a smuggler revamp, then a SL revamp, then a ranger revamp... I doubt the Dancer/Musician profession as it stands now would become ever viable again! It's just that I'm completely fed up with those never ending excuses made up by SOE...
I've been on TC and now in Live and I don't like it one bit what I've become:
a a freaking NPC!!!:
* a bufbot: free inspiration buffs to everyone, wether I want to or not
* a grinder: xp going so slowly now with the MAX number of 8 people in a group, it will take ages to get to master. One good point is that the Master box doesn't need 1M xp points like the other professions.
* useless: 6 trees, each one considered with only adding a skill mod, of which 4 are makin no distinction at all (BF Healing and Wound Healing) and 2 trees very much alike (techniques for inspiration buff, whereas the musician gets to make instruments). This is JUST ridicilous
So I'm asking how you feel about these changes?
I for one, do no like them 1 bit. After being in Theed for a while, comments were already made Coronet cantina was like a graveyard.
Since the Devs are not listening very well (at least so it seems, not only to us, but to other professions as well) or lacking to give any USEFULL feedback ("We are aware","We're looking into it","We are concerned") it's not going to cut it anymore.
At least it is not for me.
I vote for a NO CONFIDENCE in SOE until this ridicilous CU is fixed (with all it's know bugs and issues it should have NEVER been released to be put on live the first place).
I therefore am going to write a complaint letter to SOE/LucasArts, demanding a restitution: for every day these stupid well known bugs and unplayable things do exist, a free day of play! Then I'm happy TO PAY for a GAME to TEST it for them. Very likely this will only endup in their waste bin, but I will also inform Gaming Magazines of the lack of courtesy and respect SOE has for their customers and veterans, who, most of all, have stated in the SOE polls they do not want THIS as it is.
Until then, I will wear my Master Musician Tag with Pride, but I will NOT perform in public only in closed environments and for close friends. I'll be around in cantina's and starports (Theed normally) but I won't be doing anything until this is resolved.
I know this will be hurting the other players too, but then again, there are AFK bots aren't there? These bots have choosen to be exactly what SOE implemented so let them go to the buffbots. As a living, breathing, talking ATK toon I deserve a bit more...

Well I for one totally agree with you.
As a Master Musician I will not perform in public anymore until we get some respect.
All we can do is hope that the AFK Bots wake up and do likewise.
I believe the only message that Sony will understand is the one that hurts their profit line, namely canceling accounts and boycotting Sony products.

The mind enhancement skills don't do anything right now. The "inspiration" B.S. is based off Wound Healing (Music) & (Dance) skill mods. The only thing the Tech line is for right now is crafting schematics (for musicians) and lighting effects.
If I may suggest an alternative to not performing at all...go perform at the static instruments by the starport. No one can get any healing or "inspiration" off you from there, but you can still play and have fun. 
If you want to play in the cantina, just makea hotkey for /denyservice and hit everyone who comes in the door with it. That should get their attention.
Other than that...I'll stay until even my friends can't keep me coming back anymore. They're why I continue to play. Not Sony.

I am upset that because I am a musician with ONE combat skill that I only have 1975 health. THAT JUST SUX. I was TKM Master Musician and for what - to get killed in one or two blows???
I am giving the game a couple of weeks - I may quit and cancel my expansion preorder too.
We got hosed big time in this and I am so not happy.

i was one of the best mind buffers in the galaxy.. 125% dance and music buffs... i made good money too.. enought to start my own city and keep it running.. now i make jack. im not going to be able to fund my city properly and it will likely fall to ruin after depleting meeverything what i earned back when entertainers were a useful profession in the galaxy. My mind enhancement clothes that i paid millions for? All useless now. We now have skills in our tree that are currently as good as empty. Mind Enhancement skill does nothing whatsoever. If entertainers arent show the love they deserve, and soon, i will most likely quit.
Under the new combat system i cant even wear armor.. not even crappy bone armor. At least if i could do that i could run some missions for some credits or something. Never in any game i have ever played (and ive played a lot) have i witnessed such a blantent disregard for an entire group of people.
The entertainers have been shafted!!!

I don't know if /deny isworking or not. If I can get in I'll check.
However, /deny is not really a good gatekeeper anyway. I mean even if it is completely working as it was before and was intended, its not like A) If I do not specifically add you to the list you can still get whatever service from me you want and never even ask or B)all the AFK players will provide the same services.
