Thread: How to make a profession so boring...

If they take the time to do it all right, I can see the combat update being a good thing for the Entertainer professions. With the removal of AFK play and the insertion of a new role in the game, dedicated Entertainers could make a return from the brink of oblivion. But if they do this all wrong - leave macro play intact, and leave the Entertainer fixes until after RotW - they'll be left with a not-too-happy group of already testy Entertainers.

In all honesty there was very little time I found boring while I was leveling Musician and Dancer. I had a great time talking to people and playing music with others.
I'm not saying that our profession doesn't need work but our profession is one that you get out of it what you put into it.

New things would be nice but I've never found musician boring. I've played easily as many hours as a musician as a combatant in the past 9 months I've played. The entertainer professions aren't designed for you to just sit and grind flourishes all day they are intended for you to interact with others at the same time. If you don't enjoy interacting with others then I can see that you would find this a boring profession because just sitting my toon in one spot and doing the same 3 or 4 flourishes over and over gets boring quick. Hmmm sounds like a krayt hunt spam mindshot2, mindshot3, mindshot1, rinse repeat; so exactly which profession is really boring?

I play SWG as a musician. The galaxie need us to lower BF and buff. There's a lot of things that can be done to improve our profession! Why do the devs make nothing ?? You want us to play AFK because our profession is so boring?? What about the system Microphone-Loudspeaker? What about the bugged instruments inside some cities? What about the bugged stage of theater? Are you really care about us?
I don't care about JTL -there's nothing to do there- I don't care about RotW. I just want the game I've bought -for which I pay by month!- to work without bugs and be fun to play. I'm very involved in this game, I've a character on the TC, I've been searching for the bugs -always making bug reports to help- but i feel very bored to do all of these.
Maybe our profession will stay the same - always boring to play -

yea us entertainers need some content badly.. and the upcoming combat revamp is really gonna screw us. They just got no love for us.

I've never found musician boring just lacking in stuff to do. Suposedly we are supposed to get an upgrade or revamp or something to improve entertainers and add content. I sort of doubt it will actually come out.

I don't rely on the development team to come up with things for me to do, I do what they come up with, and I enjoy it, but I spend more time coming up with my own things to do, and I am almost never bored. Here's a hint: the minmute you begin to wait around for someone else to come up with something for you to do, is the minute Boredom takes over.

You guys don't like the new dances and songs? They were a long time coming but at least they gave us something.

Of course we like the new dances and songs. But I'm already master. I've nothing to do to get it. There are no more quests for us. I'm playing my new songs for while in my city. Everyone says : yeah it's cool. But after? We're in the same situation as before. I really want quests. I really want something to do. Today people grind a dancer&musician mainly to work with a doc in a buffcenter. They play AFK. I don't want to do that. -Here i don't speak about those who are in band and work in cantina. Congratulations to you. It's a great way to play as entertainer-
I really enjoy play in my cantina and speak with travellers who come to kill Krayt. Now I just want more to do and have an more important role in the social life of SWG.
