Thread: CM's and buff healing
Here's the scoop, I was gone for 3 months, and came back around November. Abouta weekago, I was watching a big fighting tournament. This guy gets mind incapped, and I thought, "O darn, now we g2 wait for him to recover," but then a CM walks up and mind heals him. I was like, "WOAH! WTH?!" Yea, so I found out CM's have the power to mind heal now.
I wanna know, how does the entertainment community feel about this? (Since I was never here, I never knew).
coroborate that. I need to hear that from the CM and maybe the victim too. I've been gone for 3 months too but I still don't believe this. (and won't till I see some screenshots with time stamps! re-inact that scene)

guess I've been gone too long when I mistake mind wounds for mind damage. I forgot the difference for a second.

I personally like the ability that CM can heal mind "damage", but what drives me NUTS are those CM's that refuse to use it when it's needed because they are thinking ONLY of themselves and the mind wounds they take for using that skill.. This game is basically designed to have each one of us depend on another in one fashion or another.. When CM's fail to use this skill, given the fact that by doing so will NOT harm the group, then DO IT.. I as a master musician having been in groups where the CM did NOT want to use this ability because they personally didnt' like the idea of taking mind wounds...
EXCUSE ME.. I"m a master musician.. HEAL that fallen player and I will take care of your wounds in camp after the fight..
It's moments like that I just want to slap that CM senseless.. lol

I look at this way.. I'ts not healing wounds, but only damage.. Sorta like using smelling salt to awaken a fallen player..

guess that kills the arguement for AFK holo-bots in every cantina for the "benefit of the combat professions" since everyone's mind wounds can be healed by the Combat Medic. (not to hijack the thread to some other topic or anything. . .)
Combat medics CANNOT heal mind WOUNDS!! They can only heal damage!!
I think it was good for them to add this, but (Off Topic) I created a new medic character, and it just happens to be that the stim pack you get with you newb medic CAN heal mind also.. I noticed this about a month or so ago..
So when you have mind damage done its just that you cant focus =)
Yes getting shot in the head by an T21 rifle with heavy armor piercing realy gets my focus down. Also by getting shot right in the eye by an BH is not that painfull just alittle bitdistracting =).
Some of you may recall that before CMs got the mind-damage heal, Holocron posted that the devs were considering giving mind heals to medics, entertainers, or Squad Leaders. Since the CM mind-heal went in, I've asked the devs whether that implies that entertainers and SLs will not get mind heals. So far I haven't received an answer. I'll ask again.
Personally, I favor some sort of mind-damage heal for entertainers, perhaps viaa craftable holostim. But I know some Musicians are uncomfortable with the idea. What do you all think?

/eyebrow Um, that idea has been bruted about so many times by so many people, I can't believe you are actually even asking.
And you know perfectly well how I feel about it. 
I think it's ridiculous that we can't already do it...and have an Entertainment Healing radius from a droid carrying 'speakers' like Doctors do with their surgical droids.
Don't think that I'm going to quit agitating on either score anytime soon.
Of course I'm aware of prior posts on the issue; I read every post in this forum, and I try to keep up with the Entertainer and Dancer forums too. But Musicians' views do change over time. For example, five months ago the number three issue among Musicians, according to my polling, was the addition of a /bandtip command. Now that issue is hardly in the top twenty. Also, people drift in and out of this forum, and not every person has expressed their view on mind heals. In fact, I've never done a formal poll on whether Musicians should have mind heals.But before I start stickying new "poll" posts, I need to talk to the devs, and TH and the devs still seem to be out of pocket.
