Whats the best species for musician?

Well, most people see the bonuses Twi'lek's get, and pick it. But as a rodian, I never worried about asking for heals while entertaining. We have great speed stats. So while everybody else has to see their local doctor in order to do the speed-flourishing 3 minute buffs, I don't worry about it. I can do it naturally.

I love it being an Entertainer Rodian I've been one since the game came out, and I never have to stop its so fun!

So if rodians flurish faster..do they level quicker than any other species?

Rodians don't flourish faster per se (from what I have seen) - I believe he was referring to the new QuickBuff TM method discovered and currently under patent review by FragPuppie.

As to race - my almost master musician toon on Bria is a human. Since I'm not currently combat-man I dumped all of my stats into Quickness and Stamina. My HAM bar is like 400, but my quickness and stamina is around 1000 each. I can do two-flourishes per 10 second tick on a chin horn indefinitely, as it costs me about 16 action points per flourish and I heal it all back before the next tick. Have to give the new quickbuff method a shot and see how well that works.

Twi'lek have racial bonuses that add to their ability to heal via Music or Dance, but have a max of 400 Stamina, and thus need healing or doctor enhancements to play/dance non-stop.

Humans have a huge range they can change their stats to, so if you make a human with everything in Action/Quicknes/Stamina, you won't need healing or doctor enhancements.

Rodians are able to play/dance without healing or buffs as well, due to their high Quickness and Stamina.

Leveling is determined by how much and how continuously you flourish. Flourishing is limited by Action/Quickness/Stamina.

Use a little deductive logic and figure out what you want:

to be a really effective performer and heal well and quickly, but need to get food/drink/buffs (Twi'lek)

or heal on an average level and not need food/drink/buffs (Rodian/Human)

Since all you want is to be a buff bot, you'd probably be better off being a human with all your stats in Action/Quickness/Stamina.

No one's mentioned it, but I think Bothans are great entertainers stat-wise...

I decided to go Rodian..he's doing really good. I got 0,3,0,3 last night on entertainer..and working on the rest

I fully agree, but for another reason. What true entertainer cares about stats anyway? That's what buffs are for. Being a performer is about style, and a Bothan Master Musician is about as cool as you can get.

But then, I admit I might not be entirely impartial on that question

Yeah, I'll grant you that Rodians are above most other species when it comes to the coolness factor, but a funky haircut alone (is that even hair on your heads??) just isn't enough. Bothans are just more handsome overall
