I truly feel that the comparisons are weak though. Pistolaro's have plenty of these skills in there own tree.

My point was to evolve to a pistolaro you need marksmen line. Not the BH line. If the DX2 was in Marksmen versus Pistolaro line thats a fair comparison. Why because that is the exact analogy of what musicians are dealin with.

Your pulling weapons from lines that break from a classes evolution.

ie: Marksmen>Pistoleer If any tool was in Marksmen in proportion to what ME has with MM I think you would here people raise the same questions.

Now if we had another entertainer class that could play tunes that would certainly be a variable to your logic, but we dont.

Please if you can try to use the classes normal evolution lines for comparisons. Your not playin fair

I do see your logic I just dont agree. Are you wrong? I'm not saying that, all I'm saying is there is more then your way of seeing this. I think MM's have a valid gripe here.

I have been a strong supporter of a push to give the Master Musician the Mandoviol and Ceremonial. In previous posts there has been a lot of flaming both for and against it. I apologize for any post of mine that may have been less than nice to someone.

That being said lets have a REAL POLL. I would really like to see how many players think that the Master Musician should be able to play all instruments and all songs. Before you take the poll, please understand the following:

1: SOE states in the in-game skills tree that: "The Master Musician knows all the songs and instruments available, and has all the tools to put on a professional performance."

2: I am not interested in SOE taking anything from Master Entertainers. To do so would be unfair.

3: There are very valid concerns on both sides of the coin... There are plenty of other posts you can look at to see the various opinions and I encourage you to do so.

That being said, here is the deal: Please reply to this message with ONLY the following information:

1: Should the Master Musician know all the songs and instruments available and have all the toold to put on a professional performance?: YES or NO

2: What is your career path in regards to Entertainment in-game?: Master Entertainer, Master Musician, Both or Other

I stronlgy encourage you to reply with only the asked for information as it will give us all a good idea what the majority of people want to see happen. Also, a lot of people in game do not use the forums. Please encourage anyone in the Entertainment field you see in game to come to the forum and reply here. If someone posts more than the asked for information, please do not respond to it, lets keep it uncluttered and see where we end up in a few days.

My only objection is the knowledge of all instruments. Please read my post in my thread of "Some thoughts about the Musician Profession".
I do not object though to having all the 'tools' available to a master musician.

Your "poll" is based on a BUG. The above statement is an ERROR left over from BETA that will be CORRECTED. You can'thave the Mandoviol or other stringed instrument. Please stop trying.

Now that that's out of the way, may I make a few comments? Yes, the MM description is currently wrong. I see this as a bug in the description, not the Mando/ceremonial placement. Also, I'd like to say that the wording of your first question has a bit of a bias, but since you fully disclosed your position on the issue, I think we can take that into account. Perhaps a simple "Should Mando/ceremonial remain an exclusive ME feature?" could've been enough. Although that might've required expanding the answer to "Both, Mando only, Ceremonial only, neither".
