Thread: Master Music Buffs... How Much Do You Charge?
I've been doing First Buff Free for a while now, but my repeat customers paid enough up front that I didn't bother asking for more. So I have yet to charge anyone a fee.
Personally, the whole reason I bother buffing at all is because I love people and like to help em out. The idea of playing a profession, based entirely on socializing and a time commitment, as a way to make money makes me feel greedy and callous. So usually, unless they asked for a buff in a rude way, I just tell them that they can tip me if they feel like it. If I have to go AFK for something during the buff, I don't feel like I've earned it anyway.
But, generally the tips range from 1K to 20K. I know that range doesn't tell you much as far as what to charge. Personally, I think 5K is a good value for the buff, if I'm buffing for someone who can hunt in places like Lok and Dantooine with a modest group. That means they'd be able to use those buffs to make back much more. If the person I'm buffing is still working on killing savorrt lairs and needs it so they can take on diseased bocatts, then I'd feel pretty lousey charging more than 100 credits.
