Ummm can we please get a comment from our beloved correspondent on the status of the missing entertainer quests from patch 10.2. i scanned all thru the posts here and found zilch on it. Which seems very bizarre to me.

Tiggs mentioned in the 10.2 thread that there were bugs in the entertainer quests, so the new song/instrument has been delayed. She didn't give an ETC that I've seen (keep an eye on the dev tracker!)

Yeah, I just finished reading through that 12-page thread, plus combing the Correspondent Forum. To be honest, I didn't expect our quests to go Live for a while yet. This patch sort of looks like what I expected 10.1 would look like.
Anyway, trying to find out more. Will let you know if I do.

Thanks for your efforts NJ.
I just wonder how much farther they think they can put us past the back burner? "Last minute bugs"? How about we just never got around to finishing them, since we didn't think they were very important?
Sorry for my bitterness. I'm just really getting fed up with being told fairy tales by the Devs.

Thanks NJ,
I figured you were working on it. =) And yeah i have to agree with the other poster, i think they were like "Oops, we forgot to finsih that entertainer stuff!". Hehehe... Well have our new song and instrument soon enough (I hope!).

There is no new song, dance or instrument. The DEVs are all sitting around the breakroom having a good laugh at our expense and are taking bets on how much longer they can string us along without actually giving us anything.
I say give us the new song, dance and instrument now. To hell with the quest, to hell with any new entertainer content. Just give us the tools and let us make our own content because they sure don't have any clue as to how to do it.

Folks look closely this is hotfix 10.02 not content release 10.2. It looks more like someone made a typo on the splash screen. There is no new content and it is SOP in sofware versioning tonumber fixes with .0x or .00x, small content changes with .x, and large content changes with x.0.

Thanks for pointing out this detail, Elwyn. Helps take down the stress level (at least a little
)

Unfortunately this doesn't mean they won't delay the quests
It does mean 10.1 still isn't here.

A QA person was busy testing the quests today on TC, and I was testing them as well. They haven't been forgotten. Me, I was enjoying them.

And what does it say for their QA process when things like this not only happen but are common. There are many text and spelling errors, simple math errors, bugs fixed with one patch and reintroduced with the next. There are numerous issues that have existed since going live that have never been addressed but they just keep cranking out new flawed code. This poor level of QA would be unacceptable in any other industry, why is it acceptable here?

Unfortunately welcome to the software industry. I do disagree that it isn't accepted in other industries, medical mistakes are on the increase, recalls on faulty products is the norm, contaminated food is becoming a serious problem.
They definitely have a source code control problem and I do agree there is a lot of room for their processes to improve but it isn't just SOE or the software industry. Today profit is the only factor that counts and corporatization of the U.S. industrieshas customer satisfaction everywhere at an all time low.
