My alt character is a Twi'lek and on the lowest action drain song, with all my action stats maxed out, I can only manage to flourish once every 20 seconds without taking food or buffing quickness. This means that to give someone a full 2 hour mind buff, requiring 75 flourishes, would take me 25 mins which is unacceptable when a guild mates human character can flourish once every 3 or 4 seconds without any action drain. Not to mention that song is really bad for curing battle fatigue and wounds. If I wanted to use a high level song to cure battle fatigue and wounds and to mind buff wiht, it would take 75 minutes to get a full 2 hour mind buff from me, what a joke.
Am I doing somehting drastically wrong? or should I give up entertaining as a Twi'lek? because mind buffing was my reason for taking the profession.

Twi's have to use food, or buffs, period. Until something happens to fix that, it's a fact of life.
On the upside, one swig of accaragm is enough to buff just like a Human.

You think Twi'leks have it bad? I did some checking and have divided all of the races into categories as to how well they can last while entertaining:
Poor Quickness & Stamina Races:
- Trandoshans
- Zabraks
Moderate Quickness & Stamina Races:
- Mon Calimari
- Wookiees
Good Quickness & Stamina Races:
- Bothans
- Ithorians
- Sullustans
- Twi'leks
Ecellent Quikness & Stamina Races:
- Humans
- Rodians
Although maybe Humans should be in a class by themselves since they can get better Quickness & Stamina stats than any other race in the game. Rodians are the only race other than Humans that I know of who can set their Quickness & Stamina high enough that they can do the 1/10 for Dance or the 1/5 for Music without needing a buff or Accarragm unless they are doing the very top level dances or playing one of the highest instruments/songs. The poor Trandoshans and Zabraks run out of Action doing 1/30 flourishes and Mon Calimari & Wookiees aren't much better off.

I'm a Mon Cal here and I feel your pain...really I do.
However you will be able to buff faster than 25 minutes. The new formula for speed of buffing should be needing 60 flourishes OR XP ticks. At worst it should be 10 minutes. That is ABSOLUTE worst with NO flourishes. Doing one flo every 10 seconds you should be able to do a full buff in 5.
Test it out and see what you get. If you do that and only get 60 minutes....try 10 minutes. Do at least 3 flos through the course of the buff, even if you are testing a no flo buff as I believe you need at least from 1-3 for full power depending on the song played.
Regarding healing...I do not believe healing is tied to song, but rather to your healing ability stats. You should heal the same on a Slytherhon on SW1 as you would on Virtuoso on a Nalargon. Just because you are playing a low level song, it does not mean that you lose the "music would healing" stats. Again...check it out and let us all know if you are seeing a reduction. If you play SW1 and only get VERY low and then swap to Virtuoso and ONLY get high XP then it bears looking at. I seem to recall getting good XP on all songs, all instruments (as a master with +25 wound/+21 Battle fatigue healing)

Oh and also be sure to use a low level instrument AND play a low level song to save action. If you play SW1 on a Chid its the same as playing Waltz.
Do some tests and let us know if what we are saying is not as you are seeing it.

Pretty much. What matters is getting those 60 flourishes in as fast as you can. I think I read somewhere that your buff gets to full power sooner... but by the time you have made the buff max duration, it will be at full power no matter what instrument/dance you used.

Yes I seem to recall that it does take flos to reach max power, but its like 1 flo for high level songs, 2 for mid range and 3 for Starwars1.
Haven't retested recently tho.

To reach full potency, it takes 3 flourishes (Or 15 non flourish ticks) for master level, 10 for novice level (Or 50 non flourish ticks)
And it's not that twi'lek stats are bad.. It's that human stat caps are bugged and let them go much higher than they should be able to.
