I just logged on to try the new songs on my Mando, and while I was pretty disappointed in StarWars 4, Funk more than made up for it. I love how that song sounds on my mandoviol.

For some odd reason Funk (with out any flos) sounds just like Rock to me, but with a faster tempo, anyone else notice this?
I equipped a bandfilland started playing Rock with no flos, then switch to funk and back to rock, did the same with a Narg too.

Funk has an electric guitar where rock has more of a violin sound.
I didn't like sw4 on the mando at first, but I think I can do some cool stuff with it.

I haven't had any problems with the Mando on SW4. While I admit SW4 is a little bit of an aquired taste (and does seem to take a little work to get it sounds good) it does seem to go down well.
On SW4 I have some tips that may help you like it a little more:
1) Do not go from the base song straight into flo 1 or 2 (it was a little jarring that way for me)
2) flo 3 and 4 seem to be good leadins for flos 1 and 2.
3) flo 5 - 8 seem to mix well together and sound good when taking over from the base song.
4) flo 3 and 4 seem to bridge well between 1 and 2, and 5 - 8
I reccommned that you play around with flos 5-8 for a short while before doing either flo 3 or 4, then going to either 1 or 2, then let it go back to the base song for a bit. This seemed to make the song sound good for me!
Funk is really cool, it also gives the Nala an organ effect rather than the normal steel drums! I have to admit that the Mandoviol is amasing on it!
The new dances also seem to work well with our new songs

The first thing I said yesterday in guildchat after starting Funk on the Mando was "That sounds very Quentin Tarantino". Sounds like something lifted straight out of the opening sequence of Kill Bill...
