I had to test it so after I had it and played it for about 30 minutes on live, I gave up all of entertainer, relearned novice the next day and still had the song.

Just the question I was wondering... I've also been wondering if you learn the dance and drop all dance lines if you can still dance it ?

Well, you pay xp for it.

You pay xp to learn Ballad at Musician 0/0/1/0, but when you drop that skill you can't use it anymore.

Seems kinda hokey to be able to drop all of your Entertainer skills and still play Western at Novice. So much for the "post-master content" theory.

Have you not learned? The devs always screw up entertainer content in some way

Yeah but I was more wondering about if you had zero dance skills if you could still dance it ya know. The song you can't play with no skills simply because you then can't play the instrument. I'll have to see if I can't try this out..

Nikola, just so I understand: you surrendered Novice Entertainer, then relearned Novice Entertainer -- and then could play Western, but presumably only on a slitherhorn? Without Novice Entertainer, presumably you couldn't play any instrument, and thus couldn't play Western, right?

And yeah, that's dedication. /cheer!

you would forget the /startdance so no you couldn't dance it unless you had a minimum of novice ent

But Ballad is skill related, Its like saying I pay for the T-21 only to drop Rifleman, I paid for the Rifle, and I can still technically use it, even if I cant hit anything or do any rifleman specials. I would be pretty upset if I had to pay for the song everytime I wanted to drop musician....even though I would never do that.

Hmmm...yeah, but Western is skill related, too - it requires Novice Musician to learn it. Drop Novice Musician, seems to me you'd lose the ability to play the song and you'd have to relearn it. /shrug

I understand how it'd be annoying to pay for the song everytime someone dropped Musician...but ummmmm if you're not a Musician why should be able to play a song that required Novice Musician to get...

Given this model, a new schematic for a new riflewould be available to NoviceRifleman (or Riflewoman for you ladies lol) and it will cost 400,000 Rifles xp to use the rifle. Then you could drop all Rifleman (Riflewoman) skills and still use that spiffy new rifle at Novice Marksman (i.e. still be certified for it), after having dropped Novice Marksman and relearning it. Sound right? I don't think it does, but who cares what I think lol.

I see the parallel to being able to use a weapon, albeit without skills or abilities with it, though. However, comparing and contrasting us to Rifleman or anyone who uses weapons and specials, wouldn't our instruments be our "rifles" and our songs be our "specials?"

I can hold a Chidinkalu Horn all I like, but I can't do a thing with it unless I have the right skills...
