Hi. In decorating my cantina, aside from the inacessible bar and shelves, I've found I can't move items up or down on the "dance floor" andfront entrance.
As for the latter, I discovered if you place items on the steps leading down, you can get around the problem, but it doesn't seem to work in the front, and I've yet to find any othermethod. Thing is, I've now seen player owned cantinas with items up on the wall along the entranceway, soit sure looks likeit can be done.
Could anyone please offer anytips or advice?

Whoa, weird.
What happens when you try to move items up or down?
Do you get an error message?
My cantina has paintings in the front entrance, and I just moved them up or down.
Did something get broken?
I'll login and see if I can drop something and move it up and down on stage and in the front entrance area.

Do you receive any systemmessages when you try to move them?
I've done a lot of moving things up and down in the Memorial cantina and haven't had too much trouble with it. I'll log in and see if I have the same problem.

Just tried dropping an item (hunk of Steel) in my cantina, in the entranceway, also on stage.
I didn't have any problems with moving things up and down in either place.
I know that folks that had Upholstered Chairs in structures had problems using the "up" command before. Do you have any in your cantina?

I tried dropping and movingthings on stage and in the entrance of my cantina and it worked normally.

Hi again. Thanks for the replies!
Like I said, the problem's only in the front entrance and the dance floor. The stage and the rough "u" shaped main area with the alcoves and such work fine.
In those other two places I can move forward and back but not up or down. I get the "not a valid location" response. I get it with my macro and just using the radial menu option. It extends down the stairs until you enter the cantian proper.
Maybe it has something to do with where I'm located. I checked out the other cantinas local to me a while ago and they all had stuff sitting on the floor in the foyer, too, which made me content to just try and work around the problem.
But the other day I checked out a place in another city and saw pictures up on the walls! "Witchcraft!" I cried. "Black Magic!!! Meesa want'n that too!"

It would have made me unhappy too.
What planet are you on and what are the coordinates (all three #'s)?

I have stuff on the tables on the dance floor in my cantina. I know I used /move up to put them there.
I placed some posters around the dance floor a couple of nights ago, too, and /move up and down worked then.

Same problem with my Generic cantina on Corellia 
Actually on the dance floor in front around the scene and in the entrance i can't move up/down of small distances (/move up 1 wont work), i have to make a big up then i can tweak the things a bit.
For the dance floor i have to do it old style ==> Using the stairs to place that Life Day Orb on the little table I have there =)

Did you place your cantina recently? People who've had cantinas for a while who are testing this to see what's going on have had no problems, but someone in the Dancer forum had problems after moving their cantina. They can't /rotate items. Maybe it's a bug that only appears on cantinas that have been placed since whenever it was introduced.

The Scumm Bar is almost 1 year old, the former proprietary transfered it to me maybe 6 months ago or probably more (I dont remember the exact time). I'm not having problems with /rotate though. Just some low heights are considered "invalid positions" when /moving up or down.

Try lowering the amount number...so like /move up 2 or something....

But my problem is precisely with little amounts ==> "/move up 1" give me the "invalid location" message. Moving up things in the entrance can't be done 1 or 2 units above the ground, I need to do a default "/move up" to put the object high enough to not be in the "invalid" height zone ; then I can move it freely as long as I stay above that "invalid" height.
I have no time at the moment to go fetch the exact numbers involved, but I'll try to figure those out maybe on tuesday or later.
